depends on your goal. A thunderdome that apparently 4 folks have used, or something else that more people will be attracted to?

I'm saying keep the thunderdome (which is cool as-is), and ADD to it something that perhaps more people will use and have fun with. Something you can mess around in without having to trash 50 hours of toon build time (not all players have unlimited play time to level up alts).

besides, "extreme sissy fighting" is a term reserved for regular pvp, where there's a no-cost respawn button

Best points I 've seen expressed about the Thunderdome ever! We all know that if it is about getting the loser's items though, people will just take their toons in without any.

Whole point of the Thunderdome was to provide a way to ultimately resolve your differences with coming whinging to us.

Therefore used often or not the TD is a 100% successful addition to the server.

I don't see much lose talk around here these days.

How about the toon that loses gets turned into stone with a plaque that reads "Here lies [insert toon name] who was defeated mano-on-mano by [insert victor toon name]."

The statue can be displayed somewhere in the victor's faction city!

Perhaps a permanent xp bonus to faction members who have the most statues/kills.

i happen to agree with the 'loss of time' when it comes to loosing a toon and that is only because my time is limited....

if you are a highschool student or are older and employed and game alot then you can potentionally devote alot of time to making a toon soely for the tunderdome, however if you are a busier individual - a demanding career , or in college taking senior or grad classes then your time might be more limited thus the toons you have leveld will be more valuable to you...

i commend the idea

-- it is the ultimate way to display your pure hubris to others...and maybe someday when i have more time (and if ns4 still exists) ill have some toon built just for thunderdome competition...

besides, you could just host a level 21 'fight club' which dcn seems to have attempted to start, but seeming the number of uses in the tunderdome i dont think they have gotten off the ground yet

dont expect the tunderdome to become somthing that is 'instantly used' it will take some time....

pffftt.... people obsessed with xp bonuses these days....borderline insanity, obsession or greed....

i do like that statue idea, or even purchasable statues (somthin mentioned last spring i think) buy a statue w/ your name for 20 million gold.. eeeehehehee .... but nonetheless in essence it is a stupid and wasteful idea - since there are other more benificial projects to be completed....need not come up with such individualistic ideas....

I'm sure the Pech Caves totally compensate RK for the fact that they can't make Earth Genasi, Half-Ogres, Arcane Archers, etc.
