Torches?

Torches?

I don't know if this has been discussed before, but I was wondering if there was anyway a torch could be edited to add some sort of stats besides light to it? I know that on the server that I used to play on (Legends of Chance or LOC) had these torches that were geared toward the different classes. Like one with extra spellslots for clerics, or sone with the use of a certain spell each day, or one with a stat bonus of some sort. I was wondering if anything like this could be implemented here in NS4 or not? I got into the toolset and tried messing around a bit with the torches and couldn't find anyway to do this but maybe I overlooked something. The only other thing that might be making the difference is that LOC wes CEP2 based whereas this server uses no haks or anything of that sort. Anyway im done talking, but I just thought it would be cool to throw out there and see if something fun like this could be implemented somehow...

cool idea; might be attractive for low levels....and maybe if the dev's had finished every other modification they had ever wanted to complete and they were bored...:wink: but who would use a torch over a shield :o and what use would an extra low level spellslot really serve a caster at such a low level ? IMO, i would think faction jobs as well as a half-a-dozen other items that would have a more 'full' effect would take priority over somthing as relativly narrow as this ...dont take that the wrong way tho.... :P

Give torches a radius that when a drow/duergar/svirf enters it gets blinded.

Yeah, I looked at that at one point actually - for some crazy reason, Bioware made torches so that pretty much only light can be on them. You couldn't add custom properties or make them usable as far as I could see. So, cool idea, probably not practical though....
