Planar Observations
Are they intended to be like that? Because as things stand no, you don't even have a chance to defend against something like that.

Too bad you can't take Epic Energy Resist for Positive or Negative Damage. It just seemed to happen more often in Positive Plane and it was definatly more deadly. The first time it took out three of our 40th level characters right after we buffed (and since it was Positive Energy Energy Buffer did nothing). The second time we were just trying to run through an area and it caught two of us just as a third portaled to the boss which ended our exploration of that plane.
By the way, Mega Bursts are alot more deadly inside Halls of the Dead if you are anywhere near one of the blood cubes. We had one hit our party while fighting one cube and it spawned several dozen in a matter of seconds. Needless to say we did not survive this. Even those that weren't hit by the blast had no chance of rescuing those that did.
Also the boss drops were put in before the Imbued Adamantine gear so in comparison alot of it does seem weaker. On the other hand if you are looking for +6 armor at least you know where to find it on a boss instead of having to wait until you get a random drop. If the Imbued Adamantine Armors weren't better in some ways you would probably just ignore it like the 16th level Imbued Mithral Armors. You can always find something better then them for that level.

Yeah, I know that's why they are weaker--when they were put in they were the only +6 armors in the game. However, at this point, they are a bit *too* weak. 10% DV is the most that I'd be willing to wear I think.... and most other people seem to have the same attitude. Also the boss drops were put in before the Imbued Adamantine gear so in comparison alot of it does seem weaker. Alright, just got back from HoD with a pretty good party. The xp is decent, of course I'd like a tiny increase overall considering how hard the devs tried to make the areas hell (mission accomplished). However, it was pretty good but the Skull Harvesters could use a CR increase. They got a very high AC, dual kamas, crits-a-bunch, and are extremely fast.

first time they came out their discipline was too low, now it is too high...cant even hit it with a called shot at around 70ab. other than that i think the skull harvesters are fine. they do minor dmg but have higher ac...what a dex thing should have. having that on top of huge discipline is a little imbalanced especially at CR29P. now let us get back on task and continue to discuss the planes....
i must comment on HoD overall ...i group of tlb / LA members sacked draco 2 nites ago on reflections , i must say it is well balanced and well designed...the drops were adequate as were the CR of the mobs in the inner maps of hod...i must say , awesome job !

HoD is good, its quite manageable and not too difficult with the party we went in with..but things can still go wrong, specially if you get cocky.
positive plane is quite difficult though we did not have the ideal party to tackle it at optimum efficiency.
and i havent tried negative energy plane since it was 'toned down'

4 pages and only a few posts give actual specifics if something needs to be tweaked this isnt helping staying on topic with specific suggestions helps, otherwise your just making it harder for us. If you have an idea or suggestion or a bug found great but keep it seperate we want to make it tough but fair and jumping all over while we keep updating our forums doesnt help.

we also ventured there a few nights ago on main , a smaller group of us comapred to our taking of the HoD...it can still be rough with the spontanious hellballs, but we managed to manuevar our way around the plane, found some reallllly nice loot too-BannyD- wrote: and i havent tried negative energy plane since it was 'toned down'

but aye, like banny said, these 3 new planes arent places to get careless...they arent as forgiving as say fire or dwarfs
