suggestions for cleric / x build?

bard looked good, but the stats are a little hard to manage

You don't take bard for the spells or song...

You take bard for the saves and access to skills.

I'd normally say "joo n00b!", but will refrain from it this time.

Also, take a few levels of rogue for uncanny dodge I and evasion. Will keep you alive for longer to be able to support more.

honestly jesters right.

u go bard going cha then this and that then u get a solid b rated char.

focous on your summon. intel med high and wis through the roof.

bard for ii wands.

unless u don't want a good char. if u want a ok one your idea is good too..... I guess.

i always thought every person's build is their own and it didn't matter the power or size of that char as long as the person playing it had fun. i've made some really bad chars that i've had more fun with than power chars.

what I meant is that the character creation system forces you to have 11 charisma if you start off bard, so i cant exactly use it as a full dump stat. since I can't really dump it, i might as well get at least a 13 so i can caste... wait for it... haste

as yoda said you can dump charisma by not taking bard at first lvl.

I thought you couldnt select a class you didnt have the stats for. can you select bard with an 8 char?

8 CHA, yes.

You just won't be able to cast any spells.

u don't need ha to be a bard. u just can't be lawfull.

u need cha to cast bard spells which you aren't going to do

aye this is extremly important when considering any type of mixed build -- it might seem like it will work well, but in auctual combat you are going to be spending more time re-casting buffs than u will auctually fighting...

hmm... one idea..if you don't have travel domain... you could try to push dex to 25 and get blinding speed*.

And with 5 bard levels..don't bother trying to cast or sing, just use it for the class-skill point dumping MMmmm cheeeesy.

*(Would probably need a book or two to push wisdom and dex high enough without nerfing all your other stats).

well you learn something new every day, thanks for the post-creation bard tip.

what do you guys think of 32 cleric 5 bard 3 rogue? gets me some sneak attack, discipline, tumble, maybe even taunt, evasion. AB suffers some from taking rogue pre-20 but I'm not shooting for a melee master build and taunt could equalize things a bit.

Try Barb if you just want the Taunt... or perhaps even BG... with Bard already in the build you want something with a BAB of 1|1 so you can get at least a 16 BAB before 20. Which means taking 4 levels of Fighter, Barbarian, Paladin, or Ranger or some other Prestige class before 20...

You would need to take the rogue levels pre-epic otherwise it will cost you 5 levels of rogue if taking any rogue level beyond 20
