I know trap components are common drops, But I would like to see the componets sold In a store somewhere. I could be a remote location where you would have to use pick lock etc.. to get to, but it would help save the goblins and bandits from the lvl 30+ rouges who need 6 components for one deadly trap.

I'm for such a store. At high levels there is no possible way to get trap components fast enough to make it worthwhile to have high skill in Craft and Set Traps. It's as if you're playing a mage that had to have time crystals for each and every spell you want to cast - either you have a place to buy the crystals or the spell-casting ability is a waste because you have to spend 90% of you time searching for them.

Jord Malefic on Reflections has a nice horde of components. Hit me up with a PM. I prefer items in trade but will take gold as well.

Ok, If anyone is selling trap components on NS4 (not reflections sorry) I pay 50gp each. for a box of skeleton knucles I trade a 20 or above item.

To help you on your way to obtain trap components-- spend some time killing orcs, goblins, and bugbears. When I lvl my low lvl chars. I tend to find alot. You just have to spend the time to get them. :D

considering its a useles sitem unless u make traps thats pretty fair.

Since there is a crafting type system here, why not allow people to gain trapping levels?

Basically as they get more and more trapping levels they become more knowledgeable about making traps and an make better traps, but also become more knowledgeable about finding and harvesting components from corpses or rocks or whatever.

So, someone with levels in trapping will be a lot more likely to find a skel knuckle than someone without trapping levels when they kill a skeleton of some sort.

The store is an interesting idea but i think that would make the items way to easy to get. What ever happened to the ROGUE's Guantlet... Why not bring it back, perhaps even make in an Epic solo quest for ROGUEs, chests with-in that have only trap items or ROGUE geared items (Theives tools), traps of various DC's to harvest throughout the maze (Always hated those pressure plates but it was a little challenge, even more with lag!). So it is not camped and taken advantage of, perhaps make the door time locked or able to detect a toon and allow it entry once per reset. I know the ROGUEs mantle has moved elsewhere but some other nice ROGUE-ish item from killing that dragon (Cant remember it's name) Maybe if the store idea went through, place it at the end of the guantlet with the restrictions on entry then moved to the store keep, and limite the amount of trap items that can be bought from one person per reset. Just my thoughts :)

I still think a script tied into trapping levels that provides more drops of traps components is a good idea.

Also making the drops more likely to happen on the creatures from which you would think the components would drop or in areas that you think they should drop would be great as well.

skel knuckles from skel type creatures.

gems/crystals from elementals.

skel knuckles drop more in catacombs or tombs.

gems/crystals drop more in caves or mage tower type areas.

As for an actual Trap Store... Let the store sell the common low level components for gold + high level components that the player can't use yet. That gnome down by the duergars would be a great place to have one of these stores.

Rangers and roGUes would have a whole new dimension added to their game play. I think it would greatly improve the server.

Yay! Other people besides Chase to lay traps everywhere! Although I havent really seen that happen much lately.

By the way, what is this Rogue's Gauntley that was mentioned?
