I am lvl 17 and i solo alot.. b/c for some reason i get on when no one my lvl is on.. Anyway i was hoping that someone could shed some light on some good spots to lvl. Currently ive been killing Giants on Giant Mt. Also i have been to Frostdale but that gets annoying.. just wondering if there are any other options.. Thank you in Advance..

What the NS guards lack in power they make up for in potion quaffing ability, so as to make anything short of death magic or knockdown spamming just not worth it. Go for the creatures, they don't pop potions with the maniacal frequency of city guards. Gnolls are excellent if you're a good melee survivor. Frostdale has a lot of attacks with reflex saves, so rogues and monks can do well versus the CR 15 wolves there, as well as ice efreets later on. Frostdale is really the point where you need a group for good xp and - most of all - fun
Soloing only gets you so far, both xp-wise and enjoyment-wise.

Paladins also do well in FD, you need to quaff a lot of potions but your all round saves keep you going with half damage. In my mid to late teens, the wolves and bears were by far the most efficient exp path.Ragnareith wrote:What the NS guards lack in power they make up for in potion quaffing ability, so as to make anything short of death magic or knockdown spamming just not worth it. Thats the same in some other cities, they basically have 3x the hitpoints because of the heal potions. There's good loot to be had, but its slow work.Ragnareith wrote:What the NS guards lack in power they make up for in potion quaffing ability, so as to make anything short of death magic or knockdown spamming just not worth it. NS guards are still good xp, and if you go to the south wall no one will bother you. NS city's size is almost a disadvantage because it has different areas and defenders usually only keep watch on mercantile and greystone for relic raiders. If you then use the sewers to pop up in a random district, kill the guards and go back down you can go for quite a while undetected. Of course all of this sneaking around takes more time...
I've heard a couple of people say that they 'prefer to solo', but because of the xp script in NS4 it's horribly inefficient. Even finding a partner of the same level will double your xp rate (more if you synergise well), larger parties will triple it, quadruple it or even more. I have a range of characters that i level concurrently, then i look at the player list and pick one that's the same level as a few others that are on.

Mid to late teens? Hmm seems you havent been to our fair Frostdale in quite some time..you can't get there until you are 16th level. Unless of course that was what you refered to as the Mid-part.
