more shifter bugs/exploit?

it seems that while dropping an item while in a shifted shape...that it remorphs you.... thus adding on the extra HP for a 2nd time....not sure if you could get infinite HP this way or not... i didnt try....but this appears to be a serious bug/exploit.... just thought i should bring it devs attention....

also i combined potions once while shifted (i had one pot on my quickslot and added more pots to the one) .... and the HP was added again....
maybe any inventory adjustments might trigger this not real sure i dont want to mess around to find out anymore either.... shifting is so buggy anyways dont want to crash etc...

Ah, that explains something I had happen a little while ago.

Did the extra hp stack? I wasn't in combat so wasn't paying attention to my hp.

Oh, and the unarmed shapes still could use a little bit more bonus damage (dire tiger in particular)... or give the tiger a bit more movement speed so it's at least good for travelling.

A few typos/noncapitalizations in the new shifted weapon names.

Overall I like the changes, I did much better in planes this time than previously.

ok i think i have figured out exactly what it does the HP dont stack but if you r injured while in shifted shape dropping an item remorphs you thus putting you at full HP (including bonus hp for shifted shape)... so you could be in shape get down to 1 hp drop an item and then remorph? into full HP......

Shifters re-morph periodically and regain the HP (at least the amount of the temp bonus hp) anyway... not sure what causes it but I know it usually happens on map transition.

im not too familiar with shifters on NS4... i just dont want to use an "exploit" if that what this is... a DM's ruling opinion etc... would be most appreciated....

its a common occurance and i believe its a bioware bug with the shifter id suggest count your blessings when it happens on transitions but dont exsploit it by dropping items ect

yeah, and don't use it to regain full hp when a dm is standing there watching you get beat down in a pvp fight.....you know who you are man

. watch for the shifted death but not dead bug...its the meanest of all.

I appreciate the importance of this issue regarding shifters causing server crashes and am sure the devs are looking into it. The one in particular is a dm toon so would ask that the individual be respectful of others and limit the use of the said toon. I am sure they have others to entertain them.

I try and save and log regularly and as fatzo has pointed out maybe every hr is the answer. It becomes quite frustrating losing xp, items which are hard to come by and having all manner of weird things happen. I realise there is no compensation for lost items. It's part of the server environment I guess however when there is a noticeable correlation between two things it leaves the realm of randomness and becomes predictable. Fingers-crossed the devs come to the rescue as they have in the past * tips hat off *

I quipped to my party member that perhaps i should make a cleric and run around with greater magic wpn, shield of faith and magic vestments and shop gear and never have to worry again lol!

I believe it reapplies temp HP, so you won't be able to get infinite HP with it.

It's also not always a blessing, as your CON will drop and raise again as you reshift, you can quite easily die from this effect too. Being low on HP after a fight and asking your party mate for a pot, only to drop dead upon picking it up isn't fun.

Meanwhile pre-wipe I died loads while shifted and don't remember ever crashing the server. oh well.
