Spell Focus Transmutation

Post by LokiMeon »

I am building a new Wizard toon and I am wondering if I should take SF, GSF en ESF in Transmutation.
At this moment it would mainly be for Fresh to Stone.
I hope some of the other transmutation spells would also benefit.
These are the transmutation spell that could benefit from Spell Focus.

Slow:
The description of this spell states that it effects 1 creature/level.
In NS it only effects 1 creature. Is this intentional?
It seems a bit underpowered now.

Polymorph Self, Mordenkainen's Sword and Shape Change:
Get these 'summoning' spells the same bonus of SF as the undead summons get from Necro SF?

Greater Sanctuary:
I understand that this spell now has a will save attached and that a failed save means a Mob can't attack you.
But how does this spell work in PvP?
And what does 'becomes ethereal' means? Is the caster immune to Critical Hits, Knockdown, Stone to Flesh, Implosion?

Any clarification would be helpfull.

Flesh to stone is barred from PvP for exploit reasons, SLow has to be targeted in the ground to slow a group, GS is nerfed, Mordiken Sword is great but low time limit, BBD is disabled. shapechange is not that great becqause armor falls off, poly self is weak because of the latter reason. Tensers is ok if used right.

Thanx Kromix,

Not much reason to take spell Focus in Transmutation left.

I have tested casting Slow on the ground but then nothing happens, it just is a single target spell now.

What is fresh to stone? New spell? Or the dumbing down of NS4?
