We are trying to fix this but the trouble is that it isnt affecting everyone (which makes finding the problem difficult).

Same deal here -- can't connect.
Could it be that we're all coming to the server through the same route and the server (or something in front of the server) is blocking connections from that route?
Updated: ping ns4.servegame.com works fine though...

are you putting ns4.gameserve.com:5121 in direct connect?
It may just take the dns of your is to update the link
The hard ip should work though.
If not go thru pw-action and try double clicking it.

The hard IP doesn't work, neither does PW Action.

I can ping it fine as well. No luck double-clicking on pw-action entry.

Reboot pc. reboot modem/router
traceroute the ip and dns.
Otherwise it may just take time to update the cache through your isp.
Modem/router reboot may do it.

Computer, modem powered down and rebooted. Cache cleared. Still getting server not responding message, history and favorites still show NS4 offline. Direct connect is getting same message.
I guess I will try again tomorrow.

The IP wasn't/isn't the problem....... it's the PORT ;] for some reason it had been changed to 60001.
