PM (sorry but I STILL dont get it)

So Here I am reading tons of topics about PM but I still cant get it.

I understand the whole Epic Nec and so on.. But is there really a point in creating a 35 lvl PM??
Would he/she have any chance defeating a lvl 40 WIz, Fighter or monk build?

PM get to summon a very powerfull Lich. But except for that... can they really do much damage to other epic char??

This is my first time at NS and I must say I LOVE IT! Im still LVL 2 only and that Is why Im wondering....

If summoning IS worth spending time on.. Is the Cleric Death Domain + PM the best pick??

Please help me with this question..

ok first off..you can only have 30 lvls of any prestige class, as you must have atleast 10 lvls of any non prestige classes to advance past lvl 20.

second, being the previous owner of one of the most popular PM's to grace the lands, the epic PM with the max summon and built decent can indeed keep up with most epic builds and in most cases take just about every kind of build on 1on1.

so if I would have to chose between 2 builds:

29Wiz
10 PM
1 SD

or

10 Wiz
30 PM

wixh would win 1on1?

Moot questions: 5 levels of Shadowdancer (and any prestige class) is required on this server. AND, only 1 prestige class allowed per build - this was done to cut down on cheese builds.

So, rephrase your question.

Fighter 6/Bard4/PM30
Tumble AC, better hitting ability, more feats, and free armor feats.

Tekka and Aelg have done well with this sort of build.

with 1 fighter/9 wiz/ 30 PM...i could cast lvl 9 spells, buff my summon and myself decently and take on anywhere between 3-8 ppl in a fight and generally last longer than most. my new pm is bigger, stonger, meaner than my last.

Think of the pm summon as a pet draco. It actually beat up the first draco I made and we have to go back and adjust dracos stats now hehe.

It can be a great meat shield for a party as well.

That and the pm gets some stupid high ac. Doesnt have alot of attacks but he is the ultimate tank.

so with other words... Wizards are bad on this server....

PM ultimatly rule but are most booring to play...

But why chose 1 lvl of fighter and not 10 wiz lvl??

and by the way.. are PMs dung till they get to lvl 30?? or when do they actually become usefull??

the porpous of the 1 level fighter is the free armor feats.

i actually intended more fighter lvls, but after reaching a higher lvl realized i couldn't get lvl 9 wiz spells....Tiamat was very gracious in letting me fix this and as my first lvl was fighter i had to start over again from scratch with 1 fighter lvl.

PM's aren't really bad, but don't expect to kill things fast. most times your fighting its the boredom that kills the enemy and not your blade.

4 ftr/6 wiz/30 PM imo is a good solid PM build....however while very little can kill this build... it cannot deal out dmg very quick at all....i personally went with the wizard lvls instead of bard lvls to be able to use spells; although it is a pain learning 95% of your spells from scrolls lol at lvl 38 there r still spells that i dont have...
