Defensive stance nerfed?

My defender loses all his defensive stance benefits when he uses a potion, but stays in the stance. Is this intentional?

It's a bug from Bioware in which all actions done while in the process of an ongoing activated combat action cause its effects to end while not sending a notification message or changing a hotkeyed icon on the bar. It's the same with Power Attack, Expertise, and other abilities along that line. It's actually how all those abilities are meant to be anyways, with the bug merely being that it doesn't tell you that they've been ended.

you can attack or KD and thats about it for not breaking the stance
