I would like to note a few particulars for all to see and reflect on --- Overall -- the drop system is awesome...i have found along the road that most gear that is commonly used in leveling up i have come across ( silver trimmed belts, lvl 16 mithril ammys, even the artifacts drop at a respectabl rate -- not too excessive but you do auctually have a chance of finding them... cheers to the devs !!!

one area i wanted to point out however ---

well first off - a specific item -- i have a lvl 31 toon as of now, and in all this time i have yet to find a pair of imbued mithril boots....

Also , and more critical since a fellow guildmember of mine has had luck in finding thse boots ;:::: ZONS --- for example, i killed the zon queen 14 times and counting over the past 36 -48 hours or so and in all that i only managed to find ONE axe off of her --- a skewed ratio :( on the other hand i will note that at the same time , when killing the amazon champion, the lance dropped EVERY time....

As for other zon locations, the ritualist drops are rare, as well as the priestess.... slavemaster is fairly average....

Basically what i am saying here -- i have noticed since before the wipe, and i find it idepressing that i have to devote so much time in this region in order to get drops that i will need in order to conqueor the planes (no longer is zon gear the best stuff on the server !) .....my cirtiques only apply to the certian zon bosses and the boots i mentioned--- regular zon mobs as well as other areas i have ventured too all seem to be working on a very fair and balanced rate...

Deekin found a pair of imbued mith boots.
Hes only 19 and ive hardly been on at all over the past week.

i haven't found any and i raided a city and sunken...no boots.
if i didn't do it...someone else would have.

hmm.. I guess I've been lucky then, I've found 5 pairs of boots, 4 manuals, 2 catsuits (Nazz'ezz was nice enough to drop one for me!), living bark, 2 lvl13 [censored] swords, mt.storm helm, etc... lots of 'em. But then I've logged a LOT of hours since the server came back on ;]

I'm quite unlucky at finding rings and belts though.... I'll pay at least 50k for a CON+Fort+Regen belts..

We found two on some rather fishy folk last night. I've got one, not interested in money but might be in gear.

Actually the more rare the drops are the more likely people are going to farm areas for those drops. Which I believe the Devs don't want. Even before the wipe I spent several weeks leveling in Molemen and never did find another Moleman Shiv. I probably would have moved on to other areas had they dropped more frequently. As Fatzo pointed out he spent lots of time in Zons just trying to get a Queen axe and if it had actually dropped more consistantly he probably would have left as well. Just some observations.

Not sure if it's luck or the fact that I've been leveling mostly in factions (NC, RK, SL, MA) instead of FD, since the factions drop needed items and gear... Fatzo and I have stocked up the Brethren mules quite a bit already.

But I would like to see a slight tweak to make more belts/rings drop i've found 1 ring of use and 1 belt now..... -sigh-

Yes i have also noted that unless you spend several hours in one area the specific drops Fatzo mentioned aren't there. Many times for the Zon Queen as well with no drops.

I dont understand why you would want less drops Auril. It will only discourage players from building back up after the wipe.

Besides, it makes no sense. How would a large battleaxe (that is also very flashy) just disappear once the Queen dies?

Yes as well as the Slavemasters armor and the priestess's kamas. Continually no drops...making me become a camper instead of moving on.
