Blackguard summons

What level does Blackguard get what summons? I know some things have been changed on this class but I was mostly concerned with when it gets the Epic Fiend summons?

you get the epic fiend feat at like lvl 17 BG. it says 16 lvls to get it, but its not accessable until 17

-Blackguards who invest extremely as described above in their Fiendish Servant will ultimately command a Doom Knight and a Black Devil.

I just wasn't sure what level this actually meant. Can you get the Black Devil at 16 or 17th? Or is it just the Doom Knight until higher levels?

its the doom knight with the feat and you don't recieve the black devil until later on.

just think of it as having the master lich at lvl 20pm but not getting the accomplice until 30pm.....

I just thought it was something like 16th for the Black Knight and 24th? for the Black Devil. I just wasn't sure what level that other level was supposed to be. Especially since you can't get Epic Spell Focus Necromancy until you can cast 9th level spells I didn't know if it was possible to get both the Black Devil and ESF: Necro. If it is 24th or later then obviously it can't be done.

if you build it right you can have the devil by 22lvls of BG. its been done before.

*Very, very confused* I've tried out a few blackguardbuilds in a trainer, and I'm very confused as to why & how spell focus could even remotely apply to blackguards. They're not casters, they dont qualify for spell focus of any type at all.

Epic Fiendish Servant requires a lvl 15 Blackguard, which means a lvl 25 character minimum. Blackguards get an epic feat at lvl 16, where they can take Epic Fiendish Servant. I've not tried to take it as a regular epic feat, but at minimum that would be at lvl 27 which doesnt get you it any earlier.

So, can someone explain the Blackguard summons?

black guards get special uber summons in ns4.
the exact workings of them are unknown, even to zing last we heard.

I believe the response was something along the lines of:

It's been a while since the code was written. Build one and tell us about it.

It has been confirmed that you can get the Black Devil (Uber summon) with 22 lvls of BG if you build it right, as mentioned above. (take epic fiend feats)

It has also been confirmed that spell focus necro buffs bg summons, though, i dont think sf is on bg's feats list so you'll have to build carefully.

Are the SD epic shadow summon also improved? They were no different than the basic version in beta.
