Yes, but what do rogues do to steal that heal pot? They HIDE. I know people are getting sick of the same builds, but this isn't a build. Its a class. Rogues are all about being sneaky, now I do agree that would be cool to pickpocket the monster. But theres no guarantee that you'd pickpocket successfully or the heal pot for that matter. What WOULD be cool would if rogues could choose what they'd wish to pickpocket. I doubt this could happen, but if you think about it it would make a ton of sense. When you're stealing something from someone, do you do it at random or do you pick which item you'd like to have the best?

Level 39= Recall stone token (takes Druid back to Bind point-sort of “Pass without Trace”)
Level 40= +3 to all skills, Token (3uses/realday) grant Druid 100% immunity to slash or pierce or bludgeon for 5 turns. (alternately, Elemental Shield that last 1 turn/level, use 1/realday)

Level 39= +1 to DEX, +1 STR, SR+5 (stacks with item/race bonuses, if any)
Level 40= +7 to all skills, Token (Improved Invis or Etherreal Visage, 5 uses/realday, level=rogue level)
Wizard/Sorceror
Level 36= +5 to Concentration, +10 to Spellcraft, improved summons
Level 37= +5 bonus to Lore, +5 to Spellcraft, +2 all saves vs. magic
Level 38= Immunity to level 1 spells, Magical damage resistance 5
Level 39= +1 INT(or CHA), Immunity to 2nd level spells
Level 40= +10 to all skills, Token (stores 1 spell until used) or item (+2 level 7 spell slots, +2 level 8 spell slots, +2 level 9 spell slots)
I'll get to the rest later tonight or tomorrow.
Another thing that would be nice is to group main classes and certain prestige classes so that they stack for "pure class" consideration. Maybe a pure Rogue / SD will count as a pure Rogue. Same with Fighter / WM, Paladin / CoT, Druid / Shifter, etc.
...the best boost a pure spellcaster could get is to make them [their summons] even better for pure Sorc/Wizard/Cleric/Druid.

I was thinking a pure rogue at level 40 would gain the ability to save vs damage against any attack with the percentage of success being equal to his Dex stat.
And for the pure fighter damage reduction with the save being equal to their Str stat.
Pallys might gain the ability to force all but the greater evils to flee from their presence. And maybe evil PC's suffer in their ability to hit said pally with the penalty being the pallys CHR modifier.
Monks might gain the ability to become ethereal since they are getting close to becoming more spiritual beings.
Wizards and Sorcs might gain the ability to teleport to known locations.
Barbarians might gain the ability to recover from death up to -40 hit points or maybe call upon spirits of their ancestors to help in battle.
Clerics might get a chance to be resurrected by their deity by a percentage equal to their wisdom stat.
Druids might gain the ability to create physical barriers between them and their opponents.
Rangers might gain speed bonuses and ac bonuses when they are on outdoor maps.
I do not know enough about bards to speculate on what would help the pure bard. Maybe 4 free feats at 40th
I think prestige classes ought to left alone as they are not "pure" builds and gain some decent bonuses anyways.
Just my 2 cents

I'd love to see Elemental Swarm summon 4 Elder Elementals simultaneously, although the lag on that would be killer :)Elemental Swarm <--- This spell has GREAT potential for helping a caster druid out. Have it summon elementals like Summon IX, but better ones, and when one is killed it is automatically replaced like in description.
Make the summons brought forth with Elemental Swarm scale with Druid level while pureclassed, like Mummy Dust, but better.
Allow Druids to summon at full potential during combat, atleast with Elemental Swarm.
Maybe replace them with Planar elemental summons, and keep it sequential?
Another interesting pally ability would be "break aura" which would act like a divine dispel magic...pally's definately need holy sword/detect aura also.
Fighters are feat-whores, so it'd be nice to have something feat-ish to give them at level 40. Unfortunately we can't give bonus feats, but we could give out a standard set of say four predetermined extra feats at 40, enough for all types of fighter builds to use.
I like this. I don't like giving Rogues HiPS, at all. That's what Shadowdancer is for. If you want it, take it, but the tradeoff is that you lose your pure class bonus potential - tough cookies. HiPS is overpowered enough as it is. Give them a Imp Invis token useable X/day or something - it's effectively better than HiPS, but is limited per day.Basically give pure rogues a PP boost vs monsters.

That's pretty good too. After all, a pure fighter is going to have more feats than he could possibly use at level 40, a fighter/WM combo isn't too bad given that the PrC complements the base class. What you don't want to reward are the cheesy multibuilds, like caster/SDs, melee RDDs/PMs, or stuff like that which combines good abilities from two different types of classes.Joran wrote:Another thing that would be nice is to group main classes and certain prestige classes so that they stack for "pure class" consideration. i've suggested to zing that the elemental swarm spell get full bonuses for summoning as you do when not in combat with other summons. it gives you the first one..but the others come out in combat when the first dies so they lose the bonuses. if they all got it if you were in combat or not that would be nice...have it at so many lvls this happens.
planar summons for elemental swarm would be cool at lvl 40 druid also.

if i didn't do it...someone else would have.
buffing the pure classes, from my view, can be done by couple different routes:
1) Making up for weaknesses
-->that multiclassing can fix
-->that other than through these bonuses, cannot be made up for
2) Making them exclusively better at what they do
same as above...
-->what multiclassing accomplishes
--> what only bonuses that are implemented can do
examples:
(this could be more in depth... but alas is not... but hopefully you get the general idea)
multiclassing can fix bad ab, saves, etc
it cannot fix spell slots, class specific traits,
for example, rogues taking a lvl of Sd for HiPs allows them to use thier sneak attack to the best of its ability.
or giving characters free feats that multiclassing cannot
lingering song and extra song obviously make bards better, giving them these feats for free would give them the obvious advntage of having them, plus being able to take 2 other feats at lvl up that would help that character.
Restrictions:
After the character is first made, it should be asked (probably the same time its asked about subraces) if it is going to be pure of not. why?
-->gaining the bonuses only at lvl 40 is too long a wait
-->bonuses can then be calibrated for each lvl
-->so characters that plan to multiclass cannot take advantage of these bonuses
characters should not be allowed to go from pureclass to multiclass status, though if they have not yet multiclassed, be allowed to go from multiclass to pure class.
I liked Jorans idea of certain classes being allowed to be included the pure classes, though i think it would fit into the server best if it was that the PrC you were allowed to use was your faction's special PrC.
Whether or not the bonuses should differ for a PrCPure or not is a different thread though, and this idea would probably be best implemented even after PureClass Bonuses are.
i'll post my ideas for each class bonus later, dont have the time for them now... as i'm not at my own compy

First a question, is there any lv 40 pure classes currently?
Next what about an armor set, or a staff for wizards that are "to die for" as a reward. An unbelivable suit of armor for a fighter, since he's got none or crossclassed tumble ac. Wizard staff that 1-2 times a day can cast hellball or ruin +20 to spellcraft. Maybe rogues could get Some suit of armor that has 10/- DR vs all weapon types. Just some ideas, would be quite a challenge to get a pure lvl 40.

I was wondering why no one would notice that! I mean come on, you try getting a pure class rogue to level 40 with no HIPS! No buying it either. That character would have to be babysat his entire time of getting to level 40, because lets face it. A rogue can't go up against something to to toe, period.Throst54 wrote:-->gaining the bonuses only at lvl 40 is too long a wait
