No. It's a balancing issue.

Joran, I am not trying to be sarcastic, so please don't take this that way. Are you a Developer or do you converse directly with them? Is the "No" you gave a definitive answer, or an opinion?

I am thinking of building a new toon and am also interested in this topic...

If it's something so obvious you don't notice it's there, but miss it terribly playing NWN elsewhere, odds are good Joran made it.

No offense taken :)

I wouldn't ever classify any answer we give as "definitive", regardless of the topic. One of the #1 goals of the NS4 dev team is to solicit and listen to player feedback and opinions, and to ensure they're as involved in the dev process as is practicable - after all we're doing it all for you guys, it might as well be what you want right?

My point is, discussion and comments are always welcome, and you should never feel like once an answer is given that discussion is over. There have been many, many times when the player base felt a certain way and was able to articulate and justify their opinions to the point where we changed the mod or implemented a feature based on that.

Important words in there are "articulate" and "justify", of course. Otherwise you'll just get lumped in with JesterOI, and we'll never listen to what you say ;)

yes, the devs and dm's respond very well to constructive criticism with info stating facts. i think travel for MA might be a good thing, however i'm not sure what is behind the scenes enough to say that sometime in the future MA might have access to a more "magical" way of travelling around the realm other than walking. after all they are the hub of magic.

Somehow I think it will be a double edged sword if it does happen.
From what has been said before I take it that any special form of transportation allowed to MA will be useable by all others, and this can only be bad for MA since they would be flooded with invaders very easily.

Do you guys think Travel would be better than Trickery for MA? One of the things we don't want to do is allow them both :-)

There's a basis for both being used if you read the MA description.
But since only one is being allowed, Trickery should be the one.
Mages can cast haste, but can't bump rogue skills massively.

LOL...I know you didn't mean it like that, but that was just a funny statement considering who it was directed toward ;)

I would say allow Trickery for MA rather than Travel then, given that the city is a haven for theives.
