That happens sometimes, even in pnp. There've been times I've DMed games that I thought the players would walk right through and they got pounded from very nasty dice rolls. It sucks, but sometimes the enemies get very lucky...

I've played PnP, I know what that is like... but...

i say we turn the slider to hardcore...and when you die, your dead. char deleted and make a new one...that would rock. :twisted:
if i didn't do it...someone else would have.

lol no one would get past lvl 12!
going to giant mountain would be a death wish.
and low lvl mages.... well... mages would no longer be overpowered

i think this idea would be cool but it needs some limitatons like

characters under level 15 are null to the effect to stop people from killing lobies near spawn points.

and mabey there can be a life token or something

like u can buy the for 1000gp x level so when u die u have to use one of these tokens to respawn....

i think it would make people think 2wice about randoml raiding people for no reason

this would also make guilds immensely more powerful as you are likely to have someone on that can come raise you

You guys think this idea would be cool, but its not! It sounds cool at first, trust me, then it turns out to be the WORST IDEA EVER! I've been to a server that had incorporated this idea into their module...omg.... I mean, really. No no no no no no no no no no no no

I'm with the halfling here. That would really drive players away from NS 4 like crazy.

Because the mob consists of n00bz. You need to keep the mob happy, because they will go elsewhere if not happy.
Without the mob there is no NS.

Here's a reason: How about, if we implemented that death system, it would invalidate the entire core of Aetheria's storyline??

I would like to see the same fort save increase for ice efreets that giants recived. If fast leveling is the issue then those who went to giants because it was way to easy, now have just switched to the efreet layer. I think the increase for the giants was the right thing to do, and should extend to other areas of high CR creatures. I do however think that the CR of the zon lancers might need a teak or two.

Not specifically for NS4, but in general. I've never seen or played on a server that had it, so was curious why it would be so horrible. I would think you would be extremely more cautious with your character.
