Longbows already have a crit range of only 20.
I love the quiver idea... elemental damage is present on pretty much every other type of weapon except arrows. It'd help bring archers up to par.

dude archers are quite strong already. give them generic arrows (w/o elemental damage) and they already do heavy physical damage. i've seen a team of two archers go through zons like they were paperdolls.
the role of archers are quite more for supportive. different characters exist to bring different functions in a game. bards and archers are examples. if they are alone they suck. but in a party they synergize the team's overall power.
the game isn't only about making solo builds. it's also about team playing. archers have been one of the most fantastic damaging builds i've seen if put in a party.
okay ppl would say that there are still some builds that can exist w/o a party at all. (wiz/mages/clerics/druids). it may seem true, but did we notice that as epic maps come in, caster classes have hardertime working alone? i bet mages cant do much effective killing in higher epic areas because of epic mobswith uber saves and they'll be more of assistance to their teammates with summons and buffs.
and archers already have ways of coping when they're playing alone. make them an archer with darkness. or make them a SD shooter (hello sirus).

It would be nice to be able to play an archer without being REQUIRED to do that. Hate playing cheese like that. I don't have a single darkness/hipsing/cleric build. yeah, to reiterate kromix question... will there be a way to make medium sized weapons into 1/2ling/gnome only weapons (and w/ that nifty custom UMD script, u can make it non-umd-able, aint that handy) so they can join in on the beatdown?
perhaps maybe working it into crafting?

I dont know much about scripting, so excuse me if anything i say or have said is impossible, but can you just add a script to medium weapons so that if there is no shield equipped, they get bonuses?
this would also open up more variety in fighting. you would finally see more fenicing type fighters who wield 1 weapon and no shield, but can still keep up with shield users.
might have some problems with mages using them, I dunno. jsut a suggestion.
