Spell slots empty upon login

Post by Charon_ns3 »

This isn't a problem as much as it is an annoyance, but I've noticed for some time on my cleric that when I login, I always have a few empty spell slots (one 7th, one 6th, one 4th and a 3rd spell slot to be exact). I'm guessing it is because I'm getting bonus slots from stat modifiers or possibly gear, but it always happens each time I login, and only on my cleric. My sorc doesn't have this problem, nor my bard as far as I can tell, but I wouldn't expect them to since they don't use spell slots. I would be interested if wizards and paladins experience the same behavior.

I'm not even sure if this is something the devs need to look into because it may be inherent to NWN. In any case, there will at least be a record of the issue here for people who may come later.

Thanks.

no, he means that spells get unslotted on login, so he has to go back to his spellbook and re-select them. i have the same problem from time to time with my clerics, but it's nothing consistent. it is annoying though.

^ Correct.

Mine seems to be very consistent. In fact, it's every time...:)

the other thread is about the spells that you already have memorized and whether or not you can cast them.

this thread is about the spells you've actually selected to memorize in your spellbook and whether you have to go back into your book to reselct the spells to memorize in the first place.
