regarding dms.....

Look I have no problems with DMs when they are actually running events or even causing random mischief but when a DM starts slinging personal insults at my wife because of a possible misunderstanding then I have a problem. There has been DM abuse both on and off of the NS4 server and I have seldom voiced my opinion about it. This goes far beyond the general character abuse that has been posted here, so if DD or any DM or Dev would like to discuss what I am talking about, I will be glad to so in PMs.

all i know is there is a DM there who has verbally abused a friend of mine and has continuesly harassed me same thing applies any DMs who would like to talk on a serious basis i would be hapy to talk

Hi guys, its me chronepsis. Just gonna add what zing was talkin bout the sl whining when they fixed the area where the relics are by teleporting.

I fully agree with u about not parking with all high lvls around a relic zing, and we were gettin greedy maybe or just liked sl being attacked and having a battle. BUT!! I read the forums before entering the game itself and usually do, and there was nothing about any changes to being teleported. So when a friend and myself logged in to defend were transported couple screens away, and seen u and a dm on we thought u guys were doin it just to get the relics back for the players because there were a good few lvl 40s comming to sl and got pked even dms. So beofre u guys do something like that again, please announce updates ior somehting.


I really do like it the way it is now by not being able to park at relics, its beiong more fair to others. So im not attacking u personnaly, just saying u needed to let us know in some way is all.

anyways i personally will be taking a leave from NS4 for a while to at least calm down some .... i have been shown some pretty good hospitality from some old friends in AAntioch .....

hay and mabey ill come back when the management team gets more cohesive as a unit ....

Wow did this thread get out of hand and it aint locked well there have been so many posts here so quicklly - ill just say i agree with mettis i think ive tried a few other servers in the past and u know what they suck BIG time.

The thing about this server is its fun and always fresh i mean quality updates go in so often these guys are working there behinds off here and for some of the stuff to be said that was said by some ppl is an absolute disgrace

I dont enjoy being verbally abused and insulted on the IRC channel about a player scenario. Whether I was right or wrong, I'd have no reason to lie about it.

I have talked to a DM on another server who has stated that this particular person ( an NS4 DM ) almost ruined their server before he left there and came here.

All of the DMs and DEVs here with the exception of one have been wonderful. I just think that they don't want to see the possible scenario here. I do believe however, that there is one NS4 DM who understands that there is another NS4 DM who has become a menace.

If anyone would care enough to find out more, I can give you the SS of the "tells" with the other server's DM.

Please don't let him continue to cause negativity on this great server.
Yes, many good and bad players come and go, but should they have to because of a DM who is at times out of control? I think not.

If you aren't here everyday please don't just ASSUME that because this person is a DM that he has behaved perfectly..there is a pattern here...PLEASE at least look at the possibility. We aren't all KST and we aren't all SL so it can't be blamed on that aspect of it.

For those of you that have NOT seen this abuse, I appologise that you see it on the forums but I am also glad that it has not happened to you in-game or on irc. And by the same token..if you haven't had it happen to you... Please don't rant about how great everyone is and how horrible it is for us to say somethng. I am only talking about one specific problem..not all the DMs and DEVs so relax.


Hoping I can continue to ENJOY playing with my friends and husband on this server...

Oh Well,id just like to say,i was using darkness on giants as well,but at lvl 16.and a dm put ultravision on a whole group of them on several diferent occasions.Me and my party just worked around it and killed them,some of them died,but we raised.All im trying to say is,the dm's arent targetting just you or trying to bug the hell out of you.What i see is them trying to see if you can actually do it at that lvl without darkness,and if you cant then maybe you shouldnt be there.

The bug with the efreet's and dog's are pathetic,it also happens to most mage npc's who dont cast ultravision at all or in time.ive had it happen recently in some other places.the best way to fix it i would think is to make fd tickets lvl 13 capped.It seems to me like any npc who is trying to cast an offensive spell,become 'Stupid" and just stands there with darkness over them.You guys,probably already know this,but if not,hope it helps.

OK Time for some defense of my all time fav char "The Rouge\Shaddow Dancer" This char is paticularily TRAINED to dissapear into thin air even in broad daylight. There is a reason rouges have to sacrifice certain feats in order to secure HIPS. This is the only thing that alows a rouge to lvl anywhere near as efectivly as mass killers like mages and such. We as rouges don't like to hang out in big parties and share the loot with others.......kinda defeats the word ROUGE. I constantly take crap from other players cause I can HIPS wolves and Bears at lvl 9...yes i was in FD at lvl nine taking my chances and dying many times. But all in all I don't see how using your chars special granted race endowed or class endowed advantages is any more unfair than a mage being able to kill 10 things at once and uber gain exp while rouges\SD's and other non power killers kill their enemies one by one and yes this has backfired many times at low lvl and i took many and exp penalty for it. Yet I loaded up my quiver sharpend my dagger and set out to kill again. So stop griping about players using the powers granted by thier race or class, just cause they use them better than you and achieve a higher lvl fatser dosent make it right to say we all are power gamming just cause we take risks instead of rlying on a big party to keep us alive.
Just my two cents for the Rouges perspective.

I could not agree more with Poet , Jar* , Havok and everyone ealse who knows whats going on here. The subject of DM's abusing characters (lets say from sleeth*) witch seems to be the main target the past few week's from what i have seen. DM's are holding up to their responsabilities. Taking advantage of a certian group of people and using devious methods to "punish" them is quite disscussting. These DM's are not in the position to be governing Neversummer 4. I have played NS4 from day 1 open beta, and i have NEVER seen such molistation of power until about 2 months ago after hearing some rumors that Sleeth (my home faction) was overpowered. After this it all went to poop.
