Santa took my xp away!

It's fine dealing with clans that PK but when the DM's take it upon themselves to spawn Impossibles in the middle of a group that is already dealing with PKers that is not cool. We were killing off some Misfits up in Amazons when Santa and the Grinch stepped in and killed us off and the remaining Misfits. If I had died to the Misfits I would not have lost gold and XP but we managed to kill them only to die to Santa. Their were 5 of us in the group that Santa killed all level 24+. Several of us had just leveled and will have to do so again after losing xp and gold due to respawn. Padril put up the most fight but even he eventually fell to the duo. Can somebody explain why something like this is even an option or should I just wait until after X-mas to log on again.

I was with a Misfit in FD the other day when Grinch took us both down. No XP loss because we both waited for the DM to res us (and he healed us back up as well). So I suggest some patience rather than just respawning.

yes, on most DM events, such as this one, randome attack, the DM will raise the players after being killed. it is like a norm

but the dm cant do anything if you respawn.

DMs get sometimes bored because they know the whole server and noone is causing trouble... so what better that spawning a creature, taking control of it and own every player... its fun and keeps them happy... and because of this actions they will ress you...

Think of it that the DM might like your playstyle i'v been set aflame and made glow b4 because i was shredding through an area quikly... and i have been killed for being a punk so dont get mad, angry, or the such... be happy of it and that happend to you, it's something you can later talk about...

I didn't care that this happened to my lvl 24 but if this happened to my lvl 33, then I'd be mad.

To be fair, we all sat there dead for about 5 minutes or more and did NOT get raised or healed so I respawned. No XP / Gold was restored.

Actually several us did ask about getting rezed or when that failed if we would lose xp for respawning but nobody answered our pleas. It wasn't until after we respawned that we got any kind of DM responce at all and it was only to say that "he" didn't kill any players. Basically, he spawned Santa and the Grinch then watched them kill us but was not controlling them so it wasn't his fault. 6 of us took xp and gold hits because of his boredom. Now personally I think the DMs do a fantastic job all I am asking for is a little restraint when it comes to player interaction. When you slaughter two whole groups of players own up to it and make things right before it's too late.

maybe you should suck it up anyway because its not like no one has ever died on the server and had to respawn. you can always get your xp and gold back with little to no effort.

I understand it's difficult to process information properly through that tiny little brain deathdearler1 but if you could actually read my post I do not have a problem with the xp or gold loss but rather the improper use of DM power. Of course we have all lost gold or xp due to some unfortunate incident where we had to respawn but usually that is because of not being prepared or biting off more then you can chew. Their was nothing we could have done about this. Had we actually fallen to the Misfits who had attacked us in the first place we would simply have respawned with no penalty but because we had defeated a group of PKers we get penalized? We did try both the DM channel and shout before respawning but as we stated it wasn't until about 5-10 minutes that we gave up and finally respawned. Anyways I am not looking for any compensation but merely an explanation from whoever was responsible.
