This might be a dumb question...

Post by positronica »

Ok, let me start off by saying that I've only been playing NWN for a week, and I never played D&D growing up, so I'm still trying to figure the game rules out. Anyways, I'm doing a Barbarian/Fighter on NS4, and I decided to focus on doing criticals with the greataxe. The problem is that on one of my recent level ups I misread the feat menu and chose Weapon Focus: Greatsword by accident, even though I had already chosen Improved Criticals: Greataxe. I didn't even notice the mistake until a few levels later. Is there anyway to fix this? Can I de-level and do it again or something, or is my only option to start a whole new character? If I just decide to live with it, what sort of impact will this wasted feat have on my character in the long run? I'd hate to keep leveling up if my build is going to be permanently gimped by my mistake.

Yes, you can delevel quite easily - maybe too easily for some. :)
Just simply let yourself be killed a few times, you'll lose XP each time you're killed by a NPC...

On a side note, NS4 is one of the very few modules where you can delevel yourself by dying. Most modules will only let you go the the bottom of your current level.
