Arena?

Just thinking if it would be possible to stick in an arena or tournament grounds, maybe near Avendell. Would be interesting to have some good pvp matches that do not revolve around entering and wiping out a faction city. Plus ppl aren't in the wilderness trying to have a get together match and fighting off monsters while trying to do, it would work but an Arena would be pretty neat.

If you're high enough of a level to warrant having a duel, then I'd think that you'd be able to clear a small map in order to do so safely.

Yeh but having a specific area designed for arena type PC fighting would be way cooler.

Isn't the enitre server really just one big pvp arena anyway?

To answer your questions, yes both are true but a real Arena would be very awesome. Kind of like have a fenced in areawhere only player attacks are possible and outside that, there can be no pvp......this way others can come to watch without fear of being toasted on accident. Maybe also have a bind point there so that way ppl may respawn and jump back into the action, depending on the rules set forth.

arena style pvp is discouraged on ns4. trust me i know......several of us got booted once for doing it. so an arean near avendell sounds good if you into it. maybe even have a guy that can spawn a monster so you can test yourself.

An arena area could be built in under 30min EASY... There's no reason not to do it.

Hmm.. I love ns4 and would love to see as many things that could exist if the world was a real place, and a scripted non-pvp zone around such an arena would be an unrealistic thing... If the dms (aka:the law) doesn't want it, then maybe a kind of underground fight club would arise? you could drop 1gp in a circle and have people stand around as the fight goes.. spectators standing too close could be killed by area affect spells & such... it could be quite amusing.

Add an npc Bookie to the arena, two fighters can make bets before a fight and whoever wins gets all the gold.
