Just Patched

I managed to log into server 2 with the same character I was on when server went down for patching. Now that is the only character I am able to log in with.

All other characters both on server 1 and 2 only get a black screen. Plus there is no spawn on server 1 or 2.

As far as black screen goes, at the suggestion of another player I logged in a couple of times with the same character and it eventually loaded.

I think the servers need a couple of reboots for patch to fully take and aupdate all the spawn and items in game.

All my characters with CEP heads have lost them. Ouch. Real strange to look at without helms on.

Yes, I was about to come here and post...

I at first got the black screen, so relogged and was fine. However, I couldn't find a single thing to kill. There are no spawns in the 5 minutes I ran around Icy Crypts and Giant Lair. Not a thing!

I had no problems logging, but there weren't any spawns on server 2.

you guys are one up on me.... I tried to download the patch 3 times then at 100% it told me that The patch file failed to download correctly..so, i shut down, cancelled all non essential processes and it failed 2 more times... I then wiped NWN off my comp, reinstalled it and guess what, the patch file failed to download correctly. I've never had any problems downloading a patch on here b4. Any suggestions?

Yeah, I had the same problem. So I just did what the updater told me to do, and downloaded the rebuild

i had a similar problem but just let it go until it worked (about 7 times)

lol, same here, I saw it fail the first 2 or 3 times, then just walked away to get a drink, came back and it was applying the patch.

Oh, that's just great.

Last night I patch to 1.66 dealing with the multiple failed upgrades and all and finally get it patched and the servers aren't patched. So, then I swear a few times while the wife giggles at my misfortune.

Then I found the patch to revert back to 1.65. I applied that and was able to get back in.

Now I gotta do the upgrade AGAIN? *grumble*

found that patch to, but how do you de-update, i placed the file in the map C:\.....\nwn and c:\....\nwn\patch , none of the 2 couldn't be found while clicking on Update button

mine went thru several failed updates so i shut it all down and went to the nwn.bioware.com site and got the rebuild off them. it worked and i logged in to a black screen and decided to get some sleep, seeing as how i needed to be up in 3 hours for work anyway.

If you log into a black screen and can here the environmental sounds as well, just log out and log back in with that char and you should be good to go. That worked for me on all the chars I tried that got the black screen. Not sure what's causing that....

LOL the rebuild worked fine for me but my cable went down early this morning so i had to download it with my back-up dial up, only took 4 1/2 hours. hahaha

You place it in your ..\Neverwinter Nights\NWN folder. Then start up the game and hit update. It will automatically load it from there.
