I am starting this thread because I am tired of hearing so many people complain about all the changes without saying anything in defense of D.D and the Devs...
We have waited how long for updates! now they are happening on a regular basis and still soooo many people are whining. Why? cause now you have to work a little harder to get your character leveled. The epic areas are GOING to open shortly (within days) I truly believe this. I am guessing that there have been a few more scripting issues to fix with the next update. Like the crafting cost formulas and things like that.
OK so... now you don't begin and end by killing rats! Good!!! How many games of tic-tac-toe do you need to play b4 there is nothing left to learn. lets say for the slower learners 1,000 and you are as good as you will ever be! Well, I personally have killed at least 10,000 rats and I feel that I am now a rat/beetle grandmaster slayer and I really don't want to kill any more ..........EVER!
What about the gnoll archers? well here is an idea! lets ask the Devs to give us all a character item that kills everything on the screen with unlimited uses! The monsters in this mod are designed to be a challenge...Not easy! So what, they can kill you at level 21 if you are not prepared and you get no xp for killing them. "Prepared" that is what one must do before entering new areas in this mod .. you should have at least 3 shields and 3 different weapons.. some spells work better on the gnolls some are better for undead... Some places are easier for a meat-shield some better for a spell-caster. Some are easy to solo and almost all of them are more fun in a party!
If you cannot level your character fast enough to suit you, why not consider sending in a donation of $50.00. That is roughly what one spends on :
1. One dinner for 2 with a couple of glasses of wine.
2. One crappy video game for your PS2 that you play for a couple of weeks and put it away forever.
3. One bar tab... (God I wish I could get out that cheap!)
4. One pair of decent shoes!
5. You get the idea I am sure!
and it will add to the resources available to make this mod better and better. Stuff like bandwidth, hardware, a little cash in the pockets of those who have built this for us!
The epic areas are going to give us new lands to explore, new loot to hoard and new boss's to smack the crap outa us for a while!!! and more xp to acquire! So why not give D.D., the Devs, and the DM's a break and try to enjoy what they are doing to challenge us!
Feel free to add anything positive here cause for one I am getting sick of all the negative comments!!!
Oh and btw I am not talking about the rational mentioning of a percieved problem followed by a possible solution. I am talking about the heated insulting comments without regard for the feelings of those who are really trying to make everything better and more fun!
Thank you D.D. and the Dev's. for everything that you are doing to make this a better world to play in. and thank you DM's for trying to keep the peace and for giving us a taste of some of the new bad guys that are on the way!

Thank you everyone, especially r.dressel. There are never enough comments like that. Well put.
The devs do not get enough credit! This is one awesome server; there is soooo much they've put into it. I am greatful to call this place home.
On a side note:
There are always those who need to be inappropriate and try to ruine the thread. I find comments like this uncalled for in a complimentary thread such as this:
