I have a couple reasons for making the above frivolous statement, and they don't actually include the server respawn bug! (well, not really anyway).
1) The double-kill aspect sucks. I know there are ways around it, like if you're killed by an NPC wait until it wanders away and I'm pretty sure double-killing by a PC is against the rules, as it constitutes harrassment. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, it is possible, in the short time between when you come back to life after hitting "respawn" and the time you're actually portalled away, where you can be hit, usually by attacks of opportunity. Especially if these are sneaks, you can be killed twice.
2) I've been killed after I escape through the door. I suppose the lethal damage occurred just before I went through. I say this should stop me from making it through. Nothing is more disappointing than thinking, "Whew, I made it by the skin of my teeth!" when you see the area loading screen come up, entering the other room and dying.
3) This is one that I'm not sure if other people have experienced. It's happened to me that I've been close to death, healed myself, and then taken a hit. This hit *would* have been enough to kill me if I had not healed, and I don't actually die, because I did heal myself. This is all as it should be. *However*, the "you have died" dialog comes up anyway, even though I'm not actually dead, because the two calculations of death (the actual death, and the calculation for the dialog) seem to be made separately. The problem with this is that the damn dialogue totally gets in the way until you escape it, and this round or so that you lose can be lethal if you're in a tough enough fight for this to occur in the first place.
What all these seem to come down to is exactly *when* you can be killed. To me, respawning and portalling on the one hand, and escaping through a door on the other, are fairly similar circumstances. The damage takes some time to catch up with you or something, which is a problem, IMO. My third point, about the death dialog, basically boils down to the fact that it's a potentially lethal nuisance that interferes with the game.

Mine is 42 pixels taller than your Av... Is 42 pixels really THAT bad?
I could shrink it down to 20 less than your Av
*EDIT* I found another version of it that is smaller than the one that was 42 pixels taller than DV's av.

yeah, you can also make attacks of opprotunity against someone when you are dead. i've had that happen to me. i have had another thing happen that was along the "this may be bugged" lines. where in i die in the middle of healing and the your dead screen comes up when i'm actually alive. unlike the instance where you run around untill you can clear this screen from your view mine was nastier. i just laid there on the ground with 3/4 of my total hp.......laying taking a beating unable to get up because i was "dead" but healed. now that is a very crappie thing to happen to you.
when death comes for you and you are not afraid, if he asks why tell him you met me
