Since there are so few spells in Abjuration that have a save (only 2 or 3 come to mind) perhaps dedicated Abjurers could be looked on as dispel, breach and mantle experts.
The three focuses give +2, +4 and then +6 to the DC of spells from that school. Perhaps spell focuses in Abjuration could enhance the Dispel, Breach and Mantle lines of spells.
For the Dispel Magic line of spells (Lesser Dispel, Dispel Magic, Greater Dispelling, Mords Disjunction), the focuses could give a +2, +4 and +6 bonus to the dispel check after level has been added.
1d20 +1 per level (max 5/10/15/20) for the spells +2/4/6 for focus
For the Spell Breach line of spells (Lesser Spell Breach, Greater Spell Breach and Mords Disjunction) the focuses could add +1, +2 and +3 to the number of spells removed.
1d3/1d4/1d6 for the spells +1/2/3 for focus
For the Spell Mantle line of spells (Lesser Spell Mantle and Greater Spell Mantle) the focuses could add +2, +4 and +6 to the number of spell levels that can be soaked up.
1d4+6/1d12+10 for the spells +2/4/6 for focus
Another possibility could be increasing the level of spell immunity by 1 on the Globe of Invulnerability spells when you take Epic Spell Focus Abjuration.
Spell Focus Abjuration
Abjuration focus adds to caster level for dispels currently (and will increase the dispels caster level cap).
Dispels need some changes, but some bonus from abjuration feats will be there.

I just had a thought. As well as Abjuration giving you a bonus to your dispel spells..... how about also making it slightly lessen the chance of someone Dispelling YOU as well?
The rational being that your mastery of Dispelling magic helps you resist the attempts of people to rip away all your pretty spells.
This might give Wizards too much of an edge in caster vs caster combat. Particularly against poor Clerics/Druids who don't have any "breach" type spells and have to rely on Greater Dispel. I say Wizards as they get lots of extra Spell Feats, though most are probably spent pumping Int, Death Magic and Spell Penetraton through the roof..... I know mine are!

If you tilt your head far enough and squint hard enough, anything becomes as simple or complex as you'd like--regardless of whether it is or not. -- A lesson learned from Stephen Wolfram's A New Kind of Science
I don't think abjuration has anything to do with counterspells. Counterspell is a spellcasting mode not a spell of abjuration school.Throst54 wrote:from what i remeber.. yes.. abjuration focus adds to counterspells...
Dispels are universal counterspells up(and equal) to their level.
