Freedom of movement doesn't work against Bigbys?
There are 10 types of people in the world.

Those that know binary, and those that don't.

No.

I generally max disc on my chars as well. It was probably around 30 most the time on my newer char.

The Bigbys will first have to hit you which mean a high AC would protect you. If the bigby spell hit the target a grapple check is then made.

Bigbys crushing hand has a tohit somewhere around caster ability mod + caster level + 11 + 1d20. A 20 level wiz would then have a tohit of 31 + ability mod (think it is str) + 1d20. You better have a really high ac to avoid a hit ;)

The grapple check is something like this:
1d20 + ability mod + caster level + 16 and it has to beat the targets grapple check which is base attack + size mod + str ability mod. A huge str is apparently needed to win the grapple check.

I am not sure if the spells have been changed by the devs or if I am reading the spell scripts correct but beating the grapple check seems to be allmost impossible. A 20 level wiz would have a grapple check of around 40 + 1d20 while a level 20 warrior with +12 str would have 38 (20 base + 12 str + 4 size)!!!

The problem with Spura using scrolls is probably the level the scroll is cast at compared to the wiz he was fighting. A 30 level spellcasters bigbys is allot tougher to beat than a level 17 bigby scroll.

Bigbys forcefull hand works like this:
Caster check = 1d20 + 14
Target check = 1d20 + str mod + size

The grapple check with Bigbys Grasping hand is allot worse.

Caster grapple = 1d20 + ability mod + caster level +14
Target grapple = size + str mod.

A human fighting would need a str of 70+ to be able to win the grapple check against a level 20 wiz. I really hope I misunderstand the scripts :?

Don't think so...I have a char with 50+ str, and he does not get effected whatsoever by bigby's.

Granted, he is not human...but its the idea.
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

They're rewritten (Bio code was pitiful--see comments above about the impossible to beat str check: it actually comapares d20 + caster stat + hand bonus v. d20 + casters str...who let these guys write a game).

Function should be more like description. Freedom doesn't apply, think of the hand like a normal NPC. Oh, banish and dismissal will pop hands as well. They still need work though.
