NS4 Ain't That Great!

Post by rodney_ws »

Normally I wouldn't waste my time making a post like this, but after watching some friends play NWN today I just can't hold back... NS4 is falling apart... it's down 2 servers... and the 2 remaining servers are about as reliable as a Yugo. The DC100 web exploit is still alive and well... kinda defeats the point of reflex saves if a stupid spell can double your maximum save. Is it really that hard to fix? I'm not even going to get into the caster vs. melee argument again... NS4 was the entire reason I bought the 2nd expansion pack and for months it was well worth it... but now... now... it just sucks. Do the DMs do anything besides fuss at people and ban them? Are the developers ever going to get this thing post-beta and fix all of the broken stuff? Will we ever get a patch that'll stop all the crashes? Lemme guess... no... no... and no!

How did such a good idea go so wrong?

a skelleteon no throst. if this is a skelleton of ns4 then they did something seriously wrong with testing it. beta testing are hold for testing something in use of alot of players or alot of times. beta testings are to rule out things that are not commen but annomelies.

alpha testing is a skelleton to test out scripts etc etc. beta is to make sure there are no other bugs left. once beta is compleet there should be no bugs left only a few minor once that happen once each mil time.

so if you wanna blink do it with an argument not so foolish

Not feature complete. Nomenclature varies...but that's OFF TOPIC!

I bet more things would have been completed, but everyone kept bugging the poor Devs to open NS 4. So to complain about it not being right is silly. You know it aint done. You know all the bugs are not fixed, and you know that they are testing the playing style of it since there is so much pvp..I plan to play NS 4 when it is done myself.

well.......I love it. Beta or not. I know the finished product will be cool as hell !!! I also know the devs have lives of their own in the real world outside nwn, as should we all. If all you do is spend day in and day out playing, what a sad life you must lead. How can anyone [censored] about a game that is free to the players. Someone else has taken the time and money to create. How selfish can anyone be? Come on, grow up. Use this time to experiment with character builds, try all the factions, etc etc. This is probably one of the most complex servers I've seen or heard of (the ns4 finished product Im talking about) and its bound to take much time to get everything running good. Go outside and get some sun and relax!!! Its just a game! Peace!

you must not really know much between beta and final. To me, right now Ns4 is at the stage right now where it is open to the public to help the developers out of what and whats not working. Of course they could of just kept it closed and did it themselves, but that will take too much work and time for the developers to do. Plus it will make people stop asking or complaining when it should be released. Right now it is a working progress which requires one word.........PATIENCE!!!!! Besides it is least that the public can do to help out the developers to make this module the best than the previous versions.
