My problem with clerics is, they have everything.
They get like 10 fire 5 magical damage monsters usually don't resist.
They get rez noone else has.
They get all the good summons.
They are pretty good casters.
They have +5 deflection +5 shield +5 armor and if plant domain +5 natural as well. I hope devs plan to give other melee +5 AC items as well this is extremely unbalancing.
They get heal.
And they get great immunities like harm immunity, huge SR, death spell immunity and so on.
So a cleric can easily have 6 more AC than normal melee or 10 more AC with death's eternal foe. Even more with haste and divine shield. Then he has tons of more damage as normal melee, topped by great immunities, rez, heals and concealment. That's what's my problems with clerics. They have everything like summons and heals and at the same time have better AC, AB and damage than other melee(and those 3 categories is what melee is all about). About 33% of server is clerics, especially with all the CLAD ppl around. Right now I am standing in sleeth with 2 clerics next to me. Server is full of them. Now I don't want them too nerfed, but I think that other melee classes should get same AC at least.

There's a black dragon in the swamps as well. Not sure how many there are in all on ns4, maybe 4 or so.
Oh, and about the crappy dmg vs giants: If you have called shot that works great, and knockdown works reasonably well. But hulgaru's idea on elemental resists and maybe mixed up saves and good sr would help as well.

Are you referring to the same "two dragons" that he was? These are lvl 24 monsters, in the same throne room...not the guards at the front of Sleeth. Sure, they don't hit hard, but they have enourmous resists / HP ... and they heal themselves several times over when injured. But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer

2 or 3 damage against giants? I do 10 or so against them per hit at level 9. Sure i'm not a pure fighter, i'm a horribly gimped archer instead. If the bow isn't getting through to something I sling
it across my back and pull out a slasher/smasher & shield combo.
When I party up there I dont feel useless either, sure i'm doing crap damage, but every giant has been called shot arm / legged - those things benefit the party.
Those that overspecialise in a certain weapon will always come acroos problems in NWN, overspecialise in something for day to day use sure - but keep your options open.
