cleric and mages relogging for spells?
cleric and mages relogging for spells?
am i the only one that feels that logging out then back in for spells or full heath IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT is LAME and as close as you can get to CHEATING?
Fortunately, I have only seen a very few players do that. It is annoying and cheap but I wouldn’t want the devs to remove having your spells on when you log in until the server goes live. Since it is a beta there are obviously more drops and I would hate to drop in the middle of a fight with some monsters just to log back and be in the middle of them with my weak mage and no spells. Like anything else, no matter how they set it up there will always be a few that do nothing else but look for ways to exploit the system

"What do you see when you close your eyes?"
*sighs* "The demons from my past come to play in my mind."

It's on the DM's list of known exploits that are bannable offences. Until there's a fix, any character who is caught abusing/exploiting that bug is subject to disciplinary action. Several players have already received DM warnings - we've not had to ban anyone for it ... yet.
It would be VERY easy just to have characters log in at zero spells, and require a rest. However, we all know how often the servers drop, and logging back into combat with no spells is pretty harsh. So while Joran and Lokey look for a solution that won't bog the server as badly as a character-save every time a character casts a spell, we'll ask for the player's cooperation and forbearance on this matter.

That doesnt help when the server crashes during a pvp battle...I say set the server to log people in with no spells memorized.
Let it be their own fault that they aren't carrying any invis potions / blue dust.
And it is DEFINATLY not fair. How about fighters log in with no armor shield or weapon untill they rest?
If the DMs can catch people when they cheat like that untill a scripted PROPER solution is found... kudos to the ns staff.
It would be nice to see a list of expliots and their punishment... or at least a list of punishments
Theres alot of pricks *cough*matex*cough* running around abusing hips and casting Flesh to Stone on people

OI *raises hand* me me me, i was banned partially for it
anyways logging aint the problem at hand its the reason why they log. a good fighter with high saves wins from clerics and everyone else mainly cause they can buy as much heals as they want and just heal untill the other chars are done casting and then the fighter has the bigger advantages in fighting.
if you want to get rid of those bugs take out the heal pods. it will force players to work together a mage will need a fighter for hp, aka flesh shield and a fighter at his side will need a cleric for heals and resses and buffs.
that way no player will rule on his own. easy to do but downside of this all will be.
devs won;t do it simply cause everyone in the community starts to whine and maon about it. it is to hard fighters got no chance anymore blablabla.
my oppinion N00BS!!! learn to play or go take a hike.
your not supose to own the server alone or win everything without raising your hands or breaking a sweat geez how stupid can you be if you want that go to fricken power game servers. ns just a half PG server atm.
and so far my advice and thinking on the matter. this was Mushra speaking from Holland stadium. *microphone fuzzing*

I don't use heal potions, I use the cheaper Heal Kit +12. Can heal about 76 hp with a take 20, heal atleast 57 hp with a 1 roll.
In 1 round I can get back 114 hp.
I usually use the tactic where I heal after first my first two attack, then hit a heal kit to heal and skip my 2 other lower attacks, then make my first two attacks again, and heal, and so on.
I carry about 100 of these around with me all the time.
