What is the fun in killing Effortless?

Ok, so I may be a little bias towards noob-killers, as I am a noob myself (only lv7), but I just have to ask:

Where is the fun in killing low-levels?

For example, a party of my fellow NC spent around 1 RT hour to walk from Daeron to the Ogres, and when we finally arrived we showered ourselves in Ogrey-goodness. In the midst of one of these battles, another player, who shall remain nameless *cough* Emperor Okie *cough* (at the time I knew nothing of the Okies and their rather...negative...reputation). Greeting the newcomer, I was instantly commanded to "get off my mountain!!1".
As I said, this was mid battle, and at level 4 you dont exactly want Ogres to gain an Attack of Oppertunity against you. Still, not wanting to cause a conflict, I began to type my response saying we would move along. Before I cound finish typing "ok, let us kill this one then we'll leave," our entire party was killed by a missile storm (At lv4, 120 damage is a death sentence).

Though I will probably be flamed, I must ask, am I the only who sees something wrong with such actions?

yea, Okies often kill people who are in their XP areas.

its happened to me as well, just move on and kill as many as you can when you are higher level.

The question i have is why do Effortless chars attack groups of people 20 lvls higher then them... repeatedly... for an hour straight... death after death...

it only takes one spel or a couple of blows to kill them... why do they think they have a chance? and why do they keep coming back?

Its people like this that hold the entire world back =/

But we didn't attack anyone, we were all fighting an ogre when we were all killed. One of our members even spammed "follow" to make sure her farmiliar stayed on the ogre and off other people in the area.

He's not saying you are. Unfortunately in a mod where nations are at war...there is no room for forgiveness. Be happy respawning from PvP in most cases does not cost you a penalty.

Terminal speaks of low level players just ASKING to be killed. I party with him when I can and it seems to happen all the time on raids. We don't want to kill newbs, but they ask for it....

As far as Okies....know they kill indiscriminantly. Avoid them until you can kill them.

Sorry, on re-read I realize what you were saying, Terminal.

Of course, under those conditions I can understand killing. When someone attacks you then they must learn from their mistake. But when people are making every effort to NOT attack you (ie: spamming follow to keep your farmiliar from going aggro) and you kill them, that's the kind of behavior I find deplorable.

Some people play heavily in character. If you are hostile to them, and you're in their area, they will kill you. This is extremely true of okies. Them's the breaks.

Just pay him some gold, I did.
I encountered the Okie dude u speak of while talking to a another BoC member I was not buffed and would die if we battled so I offed him some gold to leave us alone.
Next time I meet him I hope to be buffed and I will fight him.

they kill you cuz they love to read these kind of threads and laugh at you about it.. that you make this big of a deal about it....

Emperor Okie reagan unfortunatly considers any area he is in his including when he is in NS city

he shouts to the server he owns it,

my advice to you, dont back down, Okies run when they are confronted
they are like spiders, more scared of you then you are of them

many Okies when confronted and about to die will log out or run away
see Okies are wimps, they talk the talk but cant walk the walk (love that cleeshaySP)

Emperor Reagan is no exception, when me and a friend were running back to NS in this one area Reagans pet attacked us, and he was just standing there watching, ok no prob this is pvp

so i just said Emp he said WHAT i said call the pet off or you die after it
with that the pet left us alone and reagan continued on his merry little way to wherever the hell okies go to after defeat

so dont back down just confront them , stand up for yourself. noone owns 1 area specialy not reagan, the 2 biggest okie cowards to date imo are Emperor Okie Reagan and Okie Potter Jr

Yes, he killed you for the area. Perhaps one of the problems is the fact that a high level characters and lower levels are competing for the same area.
