Just a couple of suggestions ^_^

Post by kagato3 »

1: Better loot off of dragons or any mob with a 20 + CR.

2: Boots of haste (no other mods) Lvl 20 + Req.

3: Make an unaligned faction.

4: More than 1 prc per char (but still keep the faction restrictions)

More to come...
The Worm (Another King of Garagoth) ^_^

Another gimp - 21 WM
The one and only gimp - 17 Sorc
Beat by a gimp - 20 Monk
Pwnedjoo the gimp - 16 WM / Monk

1. Agreed.

2. No ;)

3. LA is the closest you'll get. Unaligned means it isn't a faction at all.

4. As long as cheese builds are kept out of the mess. Damage adpet could still be made in NC. That would blow.

Why would it blow? He still has a weakness, dependent on one weapon type and the build itself calls for an elf with a -2 con bonus. Means he will have less hps than an average fighter

HP means crap when fighers just chug heal potions. Nothing resists divine and magical damage, making them purely insane PvPers. Did I mention their saves are astronomical?

By disallowing these cheesy builds, you make it so people actually have to be inventive instead of just following some guidelines posted on a website. I hate modules that have all the same "uber builds" and none others.

Sorry, but i just hate cookie cutter builds, especially when ya don't think em up yourself.

youll have the cheese builds on any action pvp server. ive justlearned to counter the popular cheese builds because they are usually a min/max with at least one exploitable weakness.

Not to mention that most of Bioware's munchkin builds are quite doable even with the present restrictions -

Dragon Kin - no changes, join LA
Dwarven Wall- just turn CoT into Fighter, no diff really, join RK
Dragon Savant - no changes, join RK
Blade Juggernaut - no changes, join AO
Undead Lord - no changes, join MA
Rogue Archer - no changes, join LA or AO or SL etc...
Reliable Archer - no changes, join one of several open factions
Divine Warrior - no changes, join NC

See? With the exception of the Dwarven Wall, who's changes were almost meaningless save a +1 throw, you can make all of those builds without any changes, even with the current system of unique classes. 'Cheesers' just have to think about it a little more before they create.
