Affinity for Archers

I have only been playing NS for a short while and I have to say that THIS is the PW I have been searching for. I am looking forward to the end of Beta for the full blown version but thus far I am extreemly impressed with this world so for that I must say Thanks.

Anyway, I have and probably will always, have an affinity for archers. I also have much love for Druids and Clerics. With that in mind I was wondering if it's possible to have a Druid/Wiz/AA in any of the factions? I have the build in mind for it and can pretty much explain the multiclassing from an RP perspective (although Wizard may be a bit of a stretch). I just believe that this would give me the best of both worlds without resorting to pure Powerleveling or cheesy builds. If not possible what about Druid/Bard/AA?

I wouldn't see any reason why either of those multi-class couldn't work for Last Alliance faction.

Si! What an awsome feat! What about in The Circle? For some reason i love a druid that doesn't get attacked, unprovoked, by the wildlife. It just stands to reason for a Druid. I also like the layout of the starter city and it just feels right to call it home.

The Circle understands the true danger of arcane magic and rightly forbids wizards and other arcane casters ("Under Martian law....") with the exception of bards. So you'd have to go Dru/Brd/AA to be in The Circle.

Northern Coalition, Mystral Ascendency, and Shadow Legion all disallow druids.

Last Alliance and Ancient Ones will literally accept anybody, so your Dru/Wiz/AA build would be fine as far as they are concerned. Ragnar's Kin would be fine too, but they only allow dwarves.

Even just a few levels of AA in a druid or cleric build would beef that class up so much for physical combat to help you save spells and throw out quick support for summons. +15ab and +5damage for just 10 levels in it, this will even allow you to peirce stoneskin, greater stoneskin, ghostly/ethereal visage, and premonition.

Then i guess it's Druid/Bard/AA, I can work that. And yes, i agree that AA with a Druid and companion would be very nice...I was thinking of putting 9 levels of AA in the first 20 so i could get the 4th attack. Ill have to work the Bard in somehow, I just have a liking for bardic music and taking so few levels in bard pains me. Plus i was wanting the 5th level in Wiz to pick up the free casting feat but you can't have everything.

Only thing is im afraid that i'll dilute my Druid and companion too much by missing out on that many levels at first that he may end up being too fighter oriented and less spellcasting/companion support oriented. Again, can't have everything.

My personal favourite build for AA is
10 bard, 10 aa, 4 fighter (weapon specialization and epic WS, +6 damage), 15 AA, then last level as Bard to get tumble and spellcraft to 40 each (+8 vs spells, +8ac), also 11 is one of the levels that bard song increases at (another +2ac).

This build should give you something like +52 ab, 1-8+23 naked damage, and 6 attacks/round, +52/+47/+42/+37/+52/+52.
Then there is the darkness/ultravision combo on top of that, which gives the enemy -50% to hit (combo that up with displacement and they only have a 25% chance compared to normal to hit you, i think), and let's you take them 1 at a time, for 22rounds/cast.

Yes, i have a favorite Bard/AA/SD 16/14/10 build that proves pretty effective as soon as you start to get into the AA levels. The SD levels help a lot with a high dex, no shield PC and gives the feats to eventually reach Epic Dodge, which is worth it's weight in SD levels. I really love this build as I take at least 9 AA levels post 20 and get a 4th attack and the extra 5 AA levels yield a bonus feat (dexterity included) and 2 extra pts to hit.

Ill save specifics for anyone interested. Ive played one up to lvl 7 in NS so far, the only thing is getting to AA levels. Prior to that he is a buff hound without enough dex to compensate for wearing a robe so it's either armor with a low arcane failure rate, 5%, or remove armor to buff, pain. But the results in the high teens are amazing, especially once he gets the Imbued fireball type arrow.

Unfortunately there is a limit of 1 Prestige Class per character in NS4.

Ack! I just read that in another post. Wow, that kinda stinks Oh well, Then I guess Ill just stick to my Druid/Archer and play Bard/Fighter/Archer as a backup. Dang!
