Ok, so for a while I never saw the enhancement bonus to damage on my character sheet. I figured this was a change by the Devs. I then started a dwarf. I bought a lvl 9 halberd (+1 Enhancement) and the +1 physical damage shows up on my character sheet.
Is my first character bugged? I am trying on 2 different weapons here both with +2 enhancement, and the +phys from enhancement is not showing up.
Why is it that the first picture says it's a star of the Vampire and looks like it's a [censored] sword but the second picture says it's an enchacnted mithral warhammmer but it's the same sword? Is that not you in the pictures?
Anyone else think the char and stance looks like a woman at that? (maybe an elf? by it's favoring a foot in the back...i thought the men stood tall/straight)
To answer the thread poster's question, it is not a bug. I believe it was the choice of the game designers to remove the extra damage from enhancement. However, seeing the damage is a bug, perhaps there is extra damage on the weapon that you didn't see at first?
If your slashing weapon has:
+1 enhancement
+1d6 damage slashing
You get more damage from the +1d6 so the game uses that instead of the +1 damage from enhancement. (You still get the +1 enhancement to enemies with damage reduction)
As for dual damage type weapons (halbeards, morningstars), those are hard to explain because it seems to be different for each weapon.
A [censored] sword shows the +1 physical because it is actually a peirce/slash weapon.

It's a bug. The +x physical damage does not work if you have the same type of physical damage added in a larger amount elsewhere on the weapon. HOWEVER, it will show up if your weapon does 2 types of damage, like the slash/pierce of a halberd. +1 slash/pierce and 1d6 slash will add.
Basically, 2 of the same property never add. Like if you have a holy avenger and use divine strength you only get the one with the higher amount of divine damage.
I did more testing...
Dual damage type weapons are messed up.
I made a [censored] sword with
+5 peirce
+5 slash
+5 enhancement
1d10 base damage (which is peirce/slash in the toolset)
Put it on a character with 10 str, so no str mod.
In the character screen it listed each of the above +5 mods
+5 peirce
+5 slash
+5 physical
so going by the character screen i should have been doing 16-25 damage, however that wasn't the case.
The range of damage I saw popping up in the combat log ranged from 11-20 damage.
From testing I can say that with [censored] swords:
+5 enh & +5 peirce stack
+5 enh & +5 slash DO NOT stack
With morningstars (which are bludg/peirce) the +5 enh shows up as +5 bludg
So with all of that I'd have to say that bioware mislabelled the +5enh as +5 physical in the char screen, not as +5 slash as it should be.
Damage from Enhancement and Bonus Damage that is the same as the main base damage type of a weapon don't stack.
