Defender Event MVP Voting
Defender Event MVP Voting
Your are voting for three MVP's one from each of the faction alliances. AO/RK, MA/SL, AND TC/NC
Due to the elimination of the relog timer for this event, there was a couple of players who interchanged the same set of toons. If one of them should win, the players involved will battle to the death to dertermine who gets MVP and the prize.
The prize, a well kept secret that we think everyone will appreciate. The MVP's may each bring us one item, Id recommend an end game item. We will then clone it twice and hit each of the three with the Unique stick. You then get to pick ONE of the three unique versions, and the other two will be destroyed.
Thanks to all the players for participation and to my fellow Gods who kept a watch full eye. Expect to see another Defenders of the Relic event in a couple months. Meanwhile the search games like "Where's Willow" will continue and a new event "Death Race" is in production. Not to mention Hanseath is diligently at work on his own project for your entertainment and grizzly demise.
List your votes for MVP in this thread.

Re: Defender Event MVP Voting
This relic event was a lot of fun, I'm glad I coincidentally reinstalled last week. I think it was meant to be.
AO/RK: Wade (he was asked to sit and defend for a majority of the event and didn't complain once...sniff-sniff...our little Wade is all grown up)
SL/MA: JP
TC/NC: AJ
heh, I'm awful with names in general, and I still haven't picked up all the new character names, voting for people works too, right?

Re: Defender Event MVP Voting
I'll just vote for the names that I remember seeing most often.
TCNC: It should be twig, but he's won so many times already. Instead I will vote for Mord. He was very persistent.
AORK: Raiven or whatever (Think this is roguex2)
MASL: Ground N Pound.

Re: Defender Event MVP Voting
I dont pvp much anymore, I lost the will for it, but I had a lot of fun in this event. For some reasons, it gave me the motivation to pk all of you guys again . Im terrible, I never remember the names of anyone, but Ill give it a try.
TC-NC: I vote for Glory using Twigs toons. Great jobs Glory, you were unpassable, just like Gandalf in LoR. You Shall Not Pass!!!!!!!!!!!!
MA-SL: Darn, cant vote for 2 cant I? Alright, JP.
AO-RK: Tough for me as I dont even bother looking at your names before killing you. Being in red is quite enough for me . Gonna give my vote to Wade, pretty sure I saw him in most of the heat I was in and also give him my vote for the most changed man in the game.
And last words, killing isnt alway winning....

Re: Defender Event MVP Voting
With everyone swapping out different toons last weekend, its hard to keep track of who's who. I almost wish there was a list of who's playing its hard to remember some of these esoteric names. I kinda think the all seeing DMs should decide this instead since they have a better vantage point.
But... since you asked here's my vote:
Ground N Pound: Because it seemed like it was always around. As soon as you killed it, it was right back, and I think it was in all of the heats. Is this Bargeld? I know he had a cleric running around a lot too that was very persistent.
Ephemeral? PWND: I cant remember the name. I think it wielded a whip and was a bard/RDD. It was also around a lot. It had very high AC and if anything a good distraction to have 2-3 people beat up on it. Honorable mentions go to a lot of tLB dwarves. It's hard to pick one from this faction alliance. It's really not fair.
Glory/Twig: This is the hardest to vote for. My initial thought was MF2. He had that little archer what went raiding and had a good defender. (Bloodshot i think). He was always in the middle of the action. First one to raid, always back to defend. I also really liked Lucy Fury the planar turning, hellball throwing, conjuring focused Cleric who stayed back and defended. That's a really good build too, and having it back at the den made raiding easier. Without these two I'm not sure the score would have been so high. However, I'm officially voting for Glory playing Twig for a couple reasons. First, she got the NC relic each heat, and retrieved all the relics that needed capped in NC because someone from NC had to pick it up. Most notably, capping that one relic with less than 10 seconds left at the end of the heat. From my math, that makes it at least 10 points, i think there was at least another recap too. Also for the defending role, that I heard was a major irritant for the enemy factions as a standing guard. So for having such a prominent role in both offense and defense: I cast my vote.

Re: Defender Event MVP Voting
Great event!!!!
DM's and Dev's.......Strong work.
Great Idea for a prize!!!
AORK- Mamba...low numbers did not stop this guy from making regular visits to Mel.
MASL- Bargeld ....major pain in the [censored].
TCNC- This is tough...I made all the heats...although only an hour of the last one...so seeing so many old and new players work together and against each other was a lot of fun!
Daral...great to work with ya. Opie...always a pleasure. Contrary to his shout rants/taunts...working on the battlefield and (in tells) with Shamed...proved to be very effective. Lucy Fury..wow...in an early AO raid on the den I saw her Hellball...greater ruin..move over and heal a comrad that was close to death....then Turn an enemy...that had a relic in hand...great work! Wifi..where do you get your glasses?? I need a pair...great spotting! AJ and Glory...great jobs...no whining and team players ...love it! Rot...was great to see ya bro! GMK smashin things....Growine and Sheraz..pitching in for the tree huggers...
All of the above deserve my vote.
But....Since it can only be one....my vote goes to PIG. Not only did he repeatedly beat the crap out of raiders with Splatter...but when he logged his raider Holy Pig ....I saw Smites in the 5 and 600s on a regular basis.
Cheers,
Mord

That being said… here’s my vote:
AO/RK – Nex (maybe tLB can’t remember) DWD cleric I think
SL/MA – Ground n Pound – relentless
TC/NC – I need to give a shout-out to WiFi… his high spot and ability to cripple and kill HIPSers, guaranteed we never got snookered out of a relic. A big high-five to AJ; always the cool and calm commander, he guided our forces with laser like precision. Another shout-out to Growine, a great scout and constant thorn the enemies’ side with his lvl 32 Tiger… and of course Splatter Pig… nuff said!
Also, I would like to thank all my Fury family, the original five, for taking the time and effort to help make the event a great success.
Heat 1 – 4
Heat 2 – 3
Heat 3 – 4
Heat 4 – 5
Heat 5 - 1
Finally, I cast my TC/NC vote for Glory… she was indeed the hardest worker of us all, always positive and a great sport; the ideal attributes for an MVP.
at your service,
I totally to agree with AJ on this one, the DMs have the best knowledge of what players really made a difference.I kinda think the all seeing DMs should decide this instead since they have a better vantage point.
