Looming nerfs?

Looming nerfs?

Was just checking to see if any updates or changes were looming as mentioned in mining's post about possible changes. I'm thinking about finally making a stunner, and want it to survive a nerf. Is the +7 to all saves still the going fix for it? Would it be possible to cut stuns/day in half so stunners won't be so apt to spam their stuns instead of a 7 DC alteration?

Also, I think caster DC should go off Caster level, not general HD as long as we're being asked.

Stunners should still be quite adequate in the +7 to saves case - perhaps it'll mean if your toon is relying on like a DC 48 stunning fist or something that you'll have issues, but we're fairly sure that +7 to all saves leads to acceptable performance by stunners, with a greater reduction in power of the lower DC stunners than the higher DC stunners.

In terms of DC: The reason we're leery of caster level not general HD is that currently: Dispel resistance, spell damage, spell penetration, bonus feat schedules, things like hellball, etc. all scale off of caster level - there needs to be caster builds that aren't straight 40 caster, and losing 3 DC to dip 5 levels is a /huge/ price.

Just build a dragon stunner only a dex book = 68 DC stun. More book investment involved for a 67 DC stun + blinding speed.

Here you were against it now you are for it, what a joke. Any moron can make a stunner, that is like and any moron can make a Mage and we know that mages got nerfed badly over the years in case you were not around. So now we are giving advice? number 1 reason why I was dissatisfied with this server was this cheese ball toon. A pure monk does not have that effect and you give it to cross breeds? You can alter it by your means like any other toon like 5 levels of (blank). You can alter the speed differential of a pure monk compared to a toon with haste with a job token.

All in all if you cannot limit it on your end, then some real pain is going to come. I was hoping for a nerf but seeing in how you are giving advice I best get my level 3armor on death a coming.

Anyone can build a Mage, ask cheeseball, he did it, with DM gear and a Lvl 33sorc outwitted him and he ran.

Anyone can build a cheese ball monk without DM gear.

I am not talking about relics for I care less, I am talking to you.

Relics for me is to see your str and weakness, lol. Losers. :D



A pure monk by every means should be the highest stunner on the game period, the fastest, he is since his abilities rely on that and sr you need to think of a pure monk. If a wizard had a wail of 68 how many ppl would whine and leave the server? Do you not understand the simplicity of the equation. Or a cleric had a implode of dc 68 do you not understand. I fully understand the gravity of the situation and understand that one ability far superior then the others, do you?

This server was meant to be equal to some sorts, only a toon from NC can make that save, the rest suffer?


So we need to all build toons from NC? And how boring a game it will be.

Logic any where?

Are you aware that the DC tweak to spells coincides exactly with a +7 to saves to everyone, for a net change of 0 to spell DCs, or were you too busy with your self importance?

Been a year and a day since I asked about this. Are the nerfs still on the way for Stunning Fist? I don't really care either way any more I just want to know what to expect when I build my stunner.
