Neverwinter Nights .... 3?
Re: Neverwinter Nights .... 3?
You can join quests that's player generated, they have their own areas.
The game seems much more like a general mmo in forgotten realms than it dos a dnd game. Unless something radical has happened to the feats and level powers since 3rded, it's not really dnd at all. Still seems fun tho.

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

Yes, that's a good assessment. I'll use the comparison of two Bioware games, Dragon Age and Mass Effect. NWO has a similar level progression, however the setting is Forgotten Realms.VagaStorm wrote:The game seems much more like a general mmo in forgotten realms than it dos a dnd game. There's promise though. The graphics are nice, beautiful in fact, and its interesting to see how many different directions players are going with it. There is a lot of complicated control options.... I think I can settle into one of them, it will just take a concerted effort to implement them the way I want it to be. The question is, will I put forth that effort?

4th edition is entirely different than 3rd edition.VagaStorm wrote:You can join quests that's player generated, they have their own areas.

I had a look at http://www.d20source.com/2009/05/player ... 3e-players and it is indeed very different.

"Neverwinter" goes to open beta on the 30th of April, it is a action mmo set in Forgotten Realms world.

is anyone else playing this neverwinter online? Just wondering as it would be cool to quest together and do some dungeons and what not.

I aim to try it out soon, but I haven't found the time yet

Not impressed so far, played a couple hours.

Looks super MMO-ified, don't think I'm going to bother.

Re: Neverwinter Nights .... 3?
I think it's fun, but it has nothing to do with d&d other than the setting. Classes, feats and powers are a bit odd to me, but I havn't played a lot of the traditional mmos....

class choice is limited, its even further limited based on what you want to do with it also...its an ok game, but doubt i'll stick with it.

I'm hoping for more options as it gets going. It just went live yesterday. I know there's supposed to be a new class (my guess is ranger) and the Drow race coming in the next month or two. It is very limited as it is though.
