The mighty over-powered Cot Stunner…
Re: The mighty over-powered Cot Stunner…
A sword is only as good as its wielder.
I've destroyed defenders with some of my worst built toons and on the flipside i've been fed my own boots with some of my best built toons (logistically speaking).
CoTs are great melee and ranged toons and possible ac tanks, some of the best available taking saves and off the cuff bonuses , but there's counter toons for every style . Adjust,Build,Destroy.

That character sheet doesn't mean anything (it's often wrong, it is known ). Only the numbers in the battle window count.

Re: The mighty over-powered Cot Stunner…
Yes, the character sheet is not correct in this case because you are above the +20 magical cap bonus. Your actual AB is 69 assuming you have all 3 ab feats.
29 bab
16 dex
4 ab feats
+20 Magical Bonus (+6 rapier, +1 blinding speed, +13 Divine Wrath)
____
69 ab
There are no need for any ab buffs after you buff with blinding and divine wrath. Divine favor and prayer/ava will not grant you any more ab at this point. They will show up on the character sheet, but not in the battle log.
I can't tell for sure, but It looks like you might not have your maximum dex buff since it is an odd number, so a few more points could be possible, but no more than 1-3

Whack a chair and see what the combat log says for the first hit.

I'm mostly going off observation and some maths here - DR toons tend to get whomped by CoTs - Jill likely an exception because she's a tankier CoT.Delisha Zrazorian wrote:just for the record... have you ever built a CoT stunner, leveled it to 40 and fought against the above?CoTs don't get disables that work on high AC targets, but they shred lower AC targets like DR PMs, fighters, DR Barbs, DR DWDs, DR RDDs, clerics, *wizards, *hipsers, *sorcs, *str bards, etc.

Re: The mighty over-powered Cot Stunner…
To expand on what mining said, CoT Stunners in particular should be nearly insta-win against anything with less than low 70's ac and ~50 fort if played well. That includes many clerics, hipsers, and mages, which are typically some of the more problematic raiders, and extends to many melee builds like pure fighters, pure barbarians, dragons, many bards, and some dwd's. They even make good monk stoppers with the potential to get enough speed to keep pace with some runners. Basically anything that isn't a BG, Paladin, PM, Elemental, or top-tier ac build is going to be vulnerable, and even then some of those builds are vulnerable. Not all BG's and Paladins have close to 60 fort, and AC builds can be subject to AC draining abilites, going flatfooted, or buffs such as divine shield expiring. Your stun might not work the first time, but with enough persistance and a little help from a friendly bard, you can eventually stun even some of the toughest builds.
CoT stunners don't have the ac or ab that your typical weapon-based CoT has, so when stunning fist won't work they'll struggle, but building something that can either dodge or resist dc 60+ stun attempts at 62+ ab reliably is very difficult.

Re: The mighty over-powered Cot Stunner…
There are generally ridiculously high levels of fail in this thread.
Lolz = Burra the troll. aka the “Trollhobbit” <-- character name.
Lolz = Character sheet. “…but my character sheet says…” “…but what if I get a black sword, it’s +8 not +6 silly old blade of the chanter! then…” yeah. Still 69 ab. "...and a bard and a cleric..." - still 69.
Lolz = Odd number final dex.
Lolz = "So I got my COT stunner..." are PM's stunnable? I seriously can't remember.
Lolz = “Buzon” isn’t that toon like 4 years old? Still competitive = Nice. Isn’t he Ranger29, Rogue6, PDK5? Would that be awesome? Where’s Frog?
Lolz = J Repent oficier is he the one where Cyclone punked his lowbie and his buffer while they had all the lowbie’s gear on the ground and then Cyclone picked up the gear and went in the NC shop and sold it right in front of them. OMG - That was funny.
Lolz = Glow attend Willma’s forum posting class. 10 steps to a good forum post.
1. Attack from nowhere.
2. Insult as many as possible.
3. Make no sense at all.
4. Utilize a generous smattering of misspellings.
5. Refer to the good old days as much as possible.
6. Avoid coherent thoughts at all costs.
7. When responding to direct questions ask more questions and attempt to answer none.
8. Use Smileys! They fix everything.
9. Don’t be concerned with accurate quotations.
10. Above all, make the central point totally and utterly pointless.
I just thought this thread could use some levity. Be well all,
