Divine Power
Divine Power
Would it be too overpowering to restore Divine Power to it's original 1 round per caster level (and made extendable) if it were altered to be more like Tenser's, where you would break Divine Power if you cast a spell?
Re: Divine Power
I like it how it is myself. It is extendable currently, despite conflicting information that has floated around. I checked the wiki and noticed that divine favor is said to not be extendable, which is not true, it can also be extended. I removed that information and updated the entry to better reflect the ns4 mechanics of the spell.

They get futzed with a lot because they're just soooo amazing and some idiot put them on an item. Can dig for current everything if wanted.

Re: Divine Power
Not hoping too seriously in it being changed, but thought it might be fun for the cleric in pvp dynamic where they'd have to think hard about healing. This is still up to 400 hps in one shot, I know but, it would still possibly prevent clerics from spamming heals on themselves and their buddies, and causing people to get upset in shout (which is funny sometimes I'll admit
).

Re: Divine Power
Issue is then that why cleric as a melee build? Tensers builds don't suck nearly as hard as we traditionally give them credit for.Frendel wrote:Not hoping too seriously in it being changed, but thought it might be fun for the cleric in pvp dynamic where they'd have to think hard about healing. Re: Divine Power
I agree. It's what makes me want to do the cleric Tenser build now hehe. I like the buff and fight option I get which makes me balance my spell slots with dispells vs buffs vs damage on my wizard (every wizard does this part I know, but I mean the way I slot spells in my case). Figured it would get new pvp cleric builds to try and consider that more as well and make them choose between support cleric and battle cleric. Seems like it would be annoying to pop Divine Power every 20 rounds compared to me getting 80 rounds out of my Tenser's. At the same time I can see giving a cleric 80 rounds of divine power with no restrictions on casting would be very overpowering. I understand it says, "Divine Favor, Divine Power, and many other clerical spells have been changed on Neversummer 4 to shift Clerics' position to that of a party support member." on the notes section of the wiki page for clerics, which is why I'm not betting on it being changed.

Also clerics rely on divine favor, which is only 10 rounds-20extended.

Re: Divine Power
Bah, that is true. I didn't think about them having to cast 2 spells to get the full effect. It's like me asking if I can be allowed to cast Shapechange after I cast Tenser's hehe. kk, nm. Thanks for humoring me.
