Never mind its working now. No idea why.

Check your settings for Dual logging?
Not sure if that's part of your issue, I only suggest that since I know you've been experimenting with it.

Re: Server timing out
I'm not sure cause last night I tried to login but it said my CD keys where in use... but it worked ealier in the day.
Re: Server timing out
If you crash during a server run, you need to log back in and log out for the cdkey to be released. App that polices that can't see client crash properly, has to be a regular log-out.

Re: Server timing out
make sure your not using the same port on 2 pc's!!!!!!!
Re: Server timing out
More info:
Your ip address:port is assigned to your cdkey while server considers it in use (have logged in, haven't logged out, crash probably isn't caught). This doesn't track across module reset, and is because multiple connections from the same ip:port are ugly for the server.
I'm not convinced this is cluckster's problem, and I think if you're kicked you don't get a message or get the default "You have been booted" one (which you won't see if you direct connect from command line flag I forget).

Re: Server timing out
I'm posting here because I'm having a "can't find server"/ "timing out" issue as well. It's been a long while since I've logged on and played, and I normally use GAMESPY to connect or direct connect. If I direct connect using the correct address... I just get an error message, and I can't even find anything with a "Neversummer" listed in it's server name or title. I'm on a mac OSX (10.4), too. Always have been on a mac, but maybe this is the reason? Would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Re: Server timing out
I have experienced a similar difficulty now and then with gamespy trying to find NS4 in the PW action list of servers. I don't know what causes it. Ways I have found around it was using the server history, favorites, friends, and direct connect to find the server when gamespy would not list NS4.
