NS4 Login Script

There is a problem with the login script that adjusts your health to that when you last left. It does not take into consideration any CON bonus you may have prior to deducting health. For example, if a mage with 200 HP base and 800 HP after CON logs off (safe, battle, crash - it doesnt matter) with HP below 600 then that toon will login dead. The only solution is to wait till next reset when you can safely relog at full HP. This bug is a serious PITA for any CON based toon.

Yes, we always try to log at full health however that is not always possible. Any chance of a fix?

only fix would be instead of straight hp reads it would take % of health bar

Any fix that doesnt adversely affect other players is ok with me.

didn't say we could do it..just that if there was a fix, that might be it ;)

i thought it did take into account your con bonus, just not your gear

I've got a con based character I'm working on right now. I'll give it a try next time I log in. I assume that it doesnt matter what lvl you are for this to happen?

I dont think level matters. I leveled my toon during the marathon event so cant say for sure.

did some testing on this with my barb, it only seems to effect your con modifier from gear, like the problem with sorcs, when they lose spell slots from gear on login. guess its because your gear is not applied on the login screen and if youve dropped below your base con + base hp it counts you as dead before your gear can be applied and drive you above -10.

I spent a while testing this evening and something weird is going on, but it's not behaving as I originally suggested and from what I can see from others it's isolated to my toon.

At a minimum I 'd always loose the CON bonus from gear to my HP. So if I leave with 600, i'd return less 160. However I'd also get an additional random penalty on some occasions that I cant explain. I know from past experience this could be enough to kill the toon.

Best I could pin it down to was the custom skin that Xalox is wearing. Hopefully if I get that removed it will resolve the issue.

skins don't have extras.

also take note of how many hp your down when you logout and how much damage the server does to you when you login

I dont think so. I was told that divine damage was chosen at login as it's the only damage type with next to no resists available on ns4 so it would work on all toons. It's unfortunate that PM's get an extra 50% on top.

Perhaps positive damage vulnerability would be a good replacement over divine for PM's.
