Noob problem: filespace Ubuntu onna stick

I have installed Ubuntu Lynx on a USB stick of 15 GB. I used UnetBootin to put it bootable on the stick.
It starts beautifully.

When I look at the free space on home I only have about 900K room.
When I look at the partition with Gnome partition manager the stick has one big partition of 15 GB. Used only 1.3 GB.

I wanted to install two instances of NWN on the stick so I could play everywhere....

How do I get sufficient filespace in Ubuntu ?

Oh yes the stick was formatted FAT32.

Yep, Alka's right. Had that happen to me a while back while mucking around, not too hard to fix. Try a google search if you don't know how.

It was the UnetBootin install. That one doesnt make a persistent install, i.e. no casper-rw partition.
Used pendrive instead, worked ok.
I have even one (1) nwn instance working with sound and all....
But it runs in full screen, can't switch panels for second instance....

Any suggestions how I should set up the multi box thingy (preferably in a vertically split screen, i have one 1600*1024 monitor) ?

Total noob on Linux/Ubuntu....

Edited the nwn.ini file.
I can run in windowed mode now so I'll try to figure out the best way to set up the stuff....

Suggestions are still appreciated...

Hers how I do windows/fullscreen switching:

I've compiled sdl, with a litle change, so that ctrl+enter switches fullscreen/windowed. You can download mine here: http://holtane.no/libSDL-1.2.so.0. Make sure you backup your old one first by renaming it to lib/libSDL-1.2.so.0.bioware . Then go into your nwn/lib folder, and rename libSDL-1.2.so.0 libSDL-1.2.so.0.bioware (so you have a backup of your old sdl), and copy the one you downloaded into your lib folder. Make sure you use the nwn sdl, and not the system one by ensuring this line exists in your nwn file:

If your using system SDL, it should look like this:

notice how ./lib: is missing.

When you fire it up now, you should be able to use ctrl+enter to switch fullscreen/windowed mode.

I suggest running dual screen , although when starting both instances you have to temporarily switch to one monitor that is slightly smaller(i.e. if you run you monitors at 1200x1020 switch the single monitor to 1200x960) as nwn will try to set window size to your full desktop (both monitors)
with 2 soundcards (1 to headset,1 to speaker) under Soundserver.

At this moment i'm running two NWN's in windowed mode with resolution (1200* something) on the same session on a 1600*1200 monitor. They overlap about 80%.
Since I have only 1 monitor I have to make do.
Switching from 1 to the other is just mouseclicks or Alt-TAB, smaller windows are a bit hard to see (you can set up 800*600 in two windows next to each other, but my reading glasses are only +1

Only thing is the automatic pivoting of the window when u hit the side with the cursor, that doesnt work anymore u have to use the arrow keys for that.
Sound: I disabled music in one window rest doesnt bother me much.
For the rest it works like a charm.
Right now im saving for a second monitor.

I have this (scroller as a button = free camera) + tilt wheel to the sides mapped to left and right arrows to spin. I have two more buttons below the scroll wheel that page up and down (tilt). I havent figured out what to do with the back and forward buttons 8( It has a weight cartridge and comes with a tin of various weights to fit into it. It's the best mouse I've ever owned:

I had that mouse up until recently. I had a problem with the tweed cable fraying, and then the wire shorted out (probably not cause by the fraying though). It was great other than that.


Now I have a $20 wireless mouse. Good thing nwn isn't exactly rapid, precision action.

My gf has exactly that mouse, and I have a slightly older version with just a back button on the side instead of back/forward. It's brilliant, but she for some reason didnt get the weights with hers, so she keeps stealing mine O.o
