They are you just don't get messages of items pulled from containers (it goes to the container). Log into any random action game and get pp'd down to your toenails with one action and no defense then tell me you want that lol.

Carrying pages of junk is something I want to avoid, it's hard on the server in a number of ways. We'll probably disable the pp action altogether now that we can.

That's cool Lokey, if you want the skill disabled that is cool.

I was simply proposing an example of how it can be improved "if" you wanted the skill to stay in the game.

I'm a big fan of rogue-like skills... hence the pickpocket fixes and random trap spawns

I remember times where the whole power leveling/meta gaming was hugely frowned upon. But w/o pick pocket on a rogue, you chop down your options of what you can do with all those skill points!!! Kinda leads you to the dump skill and SA route

You've got traps (3 skills) detect (1 skill) tumble (1) discipline (1) crossclass spellcraft (1) hide/ms (2) and UMD (1) open lock (1) and search (1).

Thats 18 int + rogue skills. Its a specialist role for sure, lol.

You mean if youre going pure rogue... in which you get no pure class bonuses like fighter, barb, pally.

Still doesnt add up. And a few cross-class and you are GOLDEN on those skills!!!

I've never liked pure class abilities, though they do one thing well; counter HiPSers. That alone is why I think they're worthwhile both to build and as a reason why they are necessary.

pick pocketing from pc's is malicous and stupid.....i disagree with having the ability to do i against pc's at all. But why not have Bosses have only pp items on them that are exclusive to you only if you pp them? and also random npc's same thing.....i would totally dig that.

Is pickpocketing useless? I remember lifting the max weight to 3lbs... that would include spare helmets, rapiers, and other stuff. Anything greater than 10 lbs. is automatically flagged as immune to being stolen. If some people want to test it out and let me know if they're able to steal any real goodies I'd like to know.

As a recap, the fix for pickpocketing was to great items in coffers the same as regular items in your inventory... prior to the fix it bypassed our script and let you just steal anything in a coffer without any checks or restrictions (bad).

UPDATE: I took a quick look at the pick pocket code and found a major bug which I'll be fixing when I get home. Hey Lokey, check out the difference between nThiefRoll and nTargetRoll
