Level 19-21 areas

Looking for best places to go to level up and get some drops for better gear than some of the junk I'm wearing. Thanks.

Level 16 gear: Sunken Isle, or the home city of each faction (fair chance of encountering PC defenders here)

Level 16-20: Amazons, Skara (hunt day and night here), Isle of Dreams

level 20-30: (elemental planes) Fire, Water, Earth, Air, then Dwarf Home, Forest Home, Plane of Shadow, Negative Plane, Positive Plane, Ilithid Home, Halls of Knowledge, Halls of Death, Dragons Erie, Elysylilum

to name a few

though that is gear level, usually you have to be higher level to survive those areas.

Actually Im thinking this be the same player whom I directed to Frostdale a day ago along with outline of the local hotspots. Incase I am mistaken, thank the Gods for Tep.

Yeah I made it to Sunken Isle from Highlands, got myself in a jam and died.

No, I'm not the one who was told about Frostdale, haven't been there.

ah, well frostdale is the best place to level in your range, just not the best place for gear unfortunately. Sunken Isle is the best for level 16 gear, with amazons close behind. Faction cities have level 16 gear, but it you start killing city guards and someone of that faction notices, don't be surprised if you meet a quick death at the hands of a player guarding their city. Skara is really the only place for level 20 gear, but most people don't actually start leveling in skara until closer to 25 without a large party.

The nexus drops some pretty rare lvl 20 stuff. Items like the quickfingers or Justice light hammer i've only found in the nexus areas.... on extremely rare occasions... prewipe...

Skara is chocked full of awesome lvl 20 stuff. Not that a lvl 20 newbie could obtain it to easil. but great stuff nonetheless

Maybe a kind level 40 who's bored some night can escort a level 19-20 through Skara so he can pick up some cool gear.

It's not that huge of a jump over Avendell shop items. Soloing is certainly possible for lots of things, but easier if we know what you're playing. The above are certainly soloable for casters at 18-20 (outside Skara unless your char is mature by 20).

Kinds of things that are useful to know about your character: ab/ac/saves/hp/abilities (dc of same). Specify if it's something like ac 40 for a couple rounds from divine shield for example.

Of course, ask if anyone around your level is up for something (a decently diverse group doing something level appropriate or more difficult should level in like 30 minutes before later epic)

I am a monk 15/ranger 4 and I'll be 16/4 shortly. I don't have his stats in front of me. Off the top of my head, his AC is currently 33, I wear robes because he's a monk, he has five attacks a round starting at +23 and ending at whatever, I think his hp is 255, I think his saves are 13/10/10, he is duel wield, blind fight, iron will, focus/improved crit kama, and a bunch of other things including his monk feats. His stats are mostly in str/dex/wis and I found one book so far that gave me +2 to dexterity. He has a lot of points in things like discipline, tumble, concentration, hide, move silently, spot, search. I'm not sure how good he is. I mean I soloed all the way to King Gustav and beat him at 19, but I also had to do a lot of healing and running around before I killed him, and my kamas were useless so I just punched him like Rocky, lol. After 20 I don't know what I'm going to do because I don't know how good this server is for monks. I could go cleric and make it to level 9 spells. I know no one wants to craft anything because the drops are better, but I also know that you can craft better stuff than what you can buy in Avendell. I'm a monk so I can't craft the high level weapons, I do tailoring.

crafting actually can get you some of the better items on the server once you upgrade them, except weapon crafters, they are mostly a waste of time. Tailors can make some wicked gloves for one (though I prefer the armor crafted bracers for my dexers).

Very true.

Usually the only thing i upgrade at 20 is an ammy and armors and boots at lvl 25. Some lvl 16 gear i still wear at 40 rings,helms depending on the build.
