They are in a serious state of decline though as of late, and generally are laughed at for their braggadocio (they love to ride on NC/TC coat tails then talk trash to RK and AO). When one NC cleric can implode a party of 5 DD's its very disappointing, especially when you relogged a character to defend and don't even get to join in on the fun. It's time for Thorac and some of the others that made DD feared to come back. The new crop is still learning, and I'm sure can make DD better eventually, but they're still learning right now.

Really? I was in Slaves when you came out of the closet, I am in never a decline of state just when you try to bad mouth me. Remember the developer that came from NC and his brother that was in NC and my pure monk pked his pure fighter, (Before they were in IO, from NS2 (reflection server) and you cheated with double haste using the token and a dm stopped me in mid fight ( I was invincible) with you at NC cradle to ask me about the double haste and after the next reset you cried foul, but understood you why you could out run a pure lvl 40 monk and you thought knowing was wrong with that. That is silly

I see some parts of my message were lost in translation. The server does not nor has it ever, revolved around how you alone play or build. You have never had that sort of influence. Sure you've brought some things to light, many people have, but you didn't bring EVERYTHING to light.

My message to you can be simplified into a couple short statements.

You've been gone so long you are out of touch with what's happening on the server.

Come back and play the game for the game's sake, but leave all your personal angst behind, it won't serve you or the community well. "There you go wit' dem negative waves!"

The new crop of DD's are struggling and could use some help.

BTW I didn't outrun a pure monk. I had a toon with 6 monk speed that could accelerate to hasted 12 monk speed. My own megalomania played a factor in the change because within a day of the change (I'm not sure whether it wasa couple hours, hell it could have been a week), I had just ran down linux on his dex pure pally and so thought that was why it had been changed. Because I had ran down and killed one of his test toons. He had just left MD's had taken *exaggerates* practically a dozen glimmer kamas from me, and I thought he was upset because my crappy noob built cleric had gotten lucky and through sheer determination and the speed boost had killed his toon. None of that was true, and eventually I came to realize that everything doesn't necessarily revolve around me or my play either. It was really hard on me though and I still sometimes hope secretly that aetheria does revolve around me. In fact I leave toons logged in just to make sure everyone can enjoy the server.

Either way, the Defender of the Pure (DoP) token never double hasted people, it stacked 20% speed. Sometimes mass haste would dbl haste. I've seen that bug, could never recreate but had instances where enemies were double hasted (pielo MD) would be dbl hasted, and my own silly 24cl6mk10CoT Ainarato would get dbl hasted by it, but the DoP never dbl hasted.

After the fact, I heard that it got nerfed because an NC monk outran a DM, whether that was superporcupine on his 30 monk10 CoT, or a DM testing with a pure monk using our defender of the pure token, i don't know.

Outrunning a pure monk with a 30 monk isn't that hard. At those speeds, transition times can really play a factor.

This is a joke, really? I was looking for the punch line. DD are fine. I was in other guilds such as the MiSfItS, Death Dealers, Slaves, and playing single, wOOhOO.

Arguing with you is like arguing with dirt, I like to keep clean myself. I can argue forever on this forum how wrong you are, and argue again, but what is the point. Everyone needs someone to really HaTe and that is me. Yes I do have my lil circle of friends, some will sell me out for peanuts and others will protect me with their life. Yes, I do have friends, (Garth Brooks song) I have friends in low places........................ So, see you on the battle field.

I've never had any problems with my fort saves. If your talking about the massacre in NC with 2 46+dc imploders + curse song vs no bard it was a little embarassing. Though I was never imploded although i did stun fist quite a few CoT builds :O speaking of low fort saves *cough your imploders suck cough*
