Defending or Vengelogging?

Don't know if I should bring this to the forum, as it will certainly generate some flame. But it is nonetheless to the benefit of everybody; following actions occured not long ago:
Isilya meets Homer PWnD (aka Shadow Warroir) in the foothills near Melencia Pass. She kills the low lvl. Which of course triggers the relogging of 3-4 PWnD, among them Cyclone aka Shadow Warroir.
This, imo, is Vengelogging.
But Shadow Warroir alleges that he is defending Sleeth from my lonely CoT . Isilya didn't come far of course - already in the next foothills area they met. Against a mage and two pure fighters, there is little hope. The question is, can it even be considered defending, if the trespasser doesn't even come close to the cradle? Or are all the areas owned by Sleeth considered as defendable ground?

If that is the case, TC has even a bigger quarrel against the powers that be, as they only get items and xp in Melencia and the respective huts, cave, etc. iirc.

Well up to the gods to decide and the players to quarrel .

for posterity sake...its a venge log. you only get to claim relog defense if their after your relic. just because they are near your town doesn't mean you can relog to kill them and call defense.
