Add NE as an acceptable alignment in Circle.

The current prestiage classes available in the Circle is: Shifter, SD, WM, or dex based AA (cause no wiz for monk wisdom combination). Harper Scout is always a chose, i guess.

Adding NE would open up BG's to this city.

If subraces would scare this from happening, then you could restrict some or all of the evil subraces from the city.

5 points: 1) RP.
2) AO/RK get everything + RDD +DwD .
3) SL/MA get everything but wizard, ranger, druid. + Assasain + PM.
4) TC/NC get paladin, cleric, monk, fighter, ranger, bard, rogue, druid, barbarian, WM, HS <actually pretty good here. If you can't get it to work, you need to work on your building skills> SD, AA. + Shifter, CoT, PDK.
5) TC/NC toons do in fact beat SL/MA/AO/RK toons at times, contrary to popular belief . Thus we can say that the classes in TC/NC are adequate.

Also, do you really want an evil toon in a faction who's ally has evil killing auras

IMO, balance is good right now.

RP reasons shouldn't count for much with regards to building balance. It may be a good guideline to start, but balance should prevail over RP. I don't think that minings summary was very comprehensive, manly because you shouldn't group allied pairs for comparison. You end up with a lot of misunderstanding in the wording. For example, SL & MA both get wiz. NC does not get rogue.

It's also not even fair to summarize the races and classes available in a faction. Best example I can think of is SL githzerai monk. Yes you can have monk, and yes you can have githz. But you can't have a githz monk due to alignment restrictions.

What it comes down to, and I sympathize somewhat, is that you run out of options if you stick to one faction for a long time. There's really 3 options from there:

1) Let go of your desire to make something totally unique that you've never seen and try making a better version of some of the ole standards. For example, make a pure fighter.
2) Play something from your allied faction. The only guild that kinda gets screwed by this is GODS, as they don't really have a sister guild.
3) Play an untagged toon from any faction you want. Hate my assassin? Come make a better one and use it against laufer some day.

Lack of options is not due to the current architecture, its due to self-imposed limitations of the builders. My personal take on making toons nowadays, is for strategy. I want an arsenal of toons so that when I defend/raid I have options. Look at your opponents and build to defeat them.

i would just like to see sorcerers in TC for an arcane spell casting option in TC or NC so I can tinker around with them more and have more fun.

I would love to have just the possibility to take 2 lvls of an arcane class to be able to make a Paladin (wizard or sorcerer) Arcane Archer. But I guess that will be forever a dream in NC.

In TC Id love to have blackguard. Bard BG is quite a nice combo. But I understand that TC wouldnt be able to be allied to NC anymore.

BG would certainly be nice in TC for the massive boosts to saves, etc, but it does seem like it would create some RP issues.

I'd say the most painful thing about playing NC/TC is the lack of arcane casters (wiz/sorc). Bard is good for haste/ii, yes you can also take cleric domains to get haste/ii, but there are still a ton of very powerful arcane spells that we don't get, in particular Bigsby hands.

Anyway, I just mention it to say that if anyone is looking to change TC, I'd love to see sorc added more than just about anything else. It fits in with the roleplaying notion of "natural magic" along the same lines as bards.

Of course, since it's the most painful thing to deal with, it seems pretty unlikely to get added, as that would make NC/TC so much more powerful.

Yes, if you would add arcane casters to NC/TC nobody in their right mind would want to go against them. But I really would like to be able to take just 2 lvls max heh. This would allow for the more used Monk (Arcane Caster) AA too.
