There hasn't been changes that would cause mod-wide lag so far as I know (the enter script that's TMIing is a temp thing and I noticed lag before that). Something in network or hardware is weird I suspect.
Can you give an estimate on when lag started being worse (don't say Kromix returning)?

I'd say in subltly increasing amounts (not including DM events ofcourse which always slow everything down) for the past 10days but today in particular everyone has been experincing severe lag. Of unusual sorts aswell. where it seems to be just a general area and not server wide. where everything just freezes and no zooming at all and then resumes. Also frequent server halts this morning where it was bad enough for people to start logging off thinking it was a crash . I havent seen this kind of frequency and length of lag in a long time. Hope its not too much of a mystery whats causing it

i think that the server host is DLing the naughty in mass amounts 
or it could be many of the infinite variables of issues that can arise...
