Noob needs help with build

12 druid lvls makes autoquicken an idiot build. no reason to have it because it won't really matter to you that much. as a shifter you won't be casting you'll be fighting.

Sorry, I was thinking it ever since I read your name. Amenhotep is how I'm used to seeing it. Anyway, I'll take your advice. In fact I've been leaving out the combat casting feats, just raising conc normally. Rolled him late last night. Abilities are 14/14/12/10/16/10 with Extend and Alertness taken. Only putting points in conc, disc, and spellcraft and saving the rest for now. Feels good man.

dump the points from str to wis, both forms you have chose have thier own str score, u can dump the chr to, a simple cloak will make up for the loss and onl use you will have for chr is talking to animals. the grizzlies near mel are DC25 for empathy, so 1 rank in empathy, -1 for 8 chr, +1 wolf hide gloves, one with the land spell +4 and take 20 (empathy outside of combat) and you can charm a grizzlie to help you. Just dont abuse the poor fellow, and they like belly rubs, but who doesnt.

definatly drop auto quicken, reflex save boost solid idea.

Keep in mind that while shifted (and you always will be cept when resting, or raising the dead) you can NOT use any scrolls or activated items. Potions can be consumed, but that is it.

also, DO NOT take any lvls while shifted. Always deshift b4 you advance a lvl.

Anyway, You can prety much dump all your physical stats unless you need one for a feat since you won't be using them while shifted (I like to invest into dex to try to fit blinding speed on my builds, but that can be very difficult to do without books on a dragon build.) Use whatever skill points you dump to max out wisdom to make it easier to get dragon shape. If you have any leftover, increase int for more skill points. You can also go ahead and dump all your charisma. No need for it at all.

Put points into tumble for more ac also.

From the looks of things you can get EWF Club without getting WF Club, as long as you take IC. Do WF and EWF stack?

and yes, mining, it is possible to do, but that is a lot of wasted feats on skill points.

Actually, I am fully prepared to stick with construct shape only. the 30 wis looks really taxing to get. That really is just too many feats to burn on stats. Chances are I'll at least find +2 books for each stat, probably +4 before it's all over. Already found 3 +2's on Varok by level 14.

I'll be going for blinding speed, but hopefully taking other avenues to get there. Is it really wise to use your levelup stat points in dex like that? I would've guessed wisdom first then suppliment dex as much as needed later.

So, am I going to spend all that effort on getting the dex for Blinding, only to someday find an item that casts haste 1x/day?

Very lucky to find 3 +2s, +4s are hyper rare. Like, 1 or 2 seen in liftime rare.

No items that give haste. Some casters can buff you, but you want to be self sufficient.

start with max dex (20) and as much as you can into wisdom while still getting 12 intelegence.. then bump wisdom till 27, can use great wisdom (epic bonus feat for shifter) get the golem then work on dex for 25/blinding speed. race and book access will have a crutial effect on how you do this.
