Pure Rogue Class Bonus'
First of all I'd like to thank The Devs for all the work that they've done over the years. Looking back at the Change Log I'm amazed at all awesome things they've come up with over the years. When I first started playing NS4 I could tell right away the mod had superior scripting. It's the Devs of NS4 that have kept the shelf life of NWN alive for me. I love this server!
When Pure Class Bonus' were first introduced I thought they meant they'd be giving bonus' to base classes only. I was surprised and pleased at what was done for Prestige Classes that were, more, or less, 'Pure' (30 lvls in given Prestige Class)! Well done!
I understood that Monk, and Cleric, were fine, as they were, and weren't in line for tweaks. I thought that Rogues were next in line for Pure Class Bonus'?
Pure Class Rogue Bonus' aught to be fairly simple to implement. They have a few glaring weakness' that might be tweaked. Perhaps a boost to AB, Will Saves, and Fortitude Saves, and viola! They would be done.
The fixes to PP at NS4 are excellent. PP can cause alot of hard feelings and I wouldn't want alot of thieves running around. I could care less if the PP skill were eliminated.
The Trap Crafting and Trap DC's at NS4 are excellent too! Those implementations alone almost give Rogues the Pure Class Bonus'.
Anyway, I wouldn't write this post, and take up anyones time, if I had found another post on this same topic (Did I miss a post on this topic somewhere?).
So, basically, my question is: Are Pure Class Rogue Bonus' on the table?
Once again, my thanks to the Devs for doing such fine work over the years. I consider them to be magicians.

Re: Pure Rogue Class Bonus'
I remember something about rogue pure class bonuses was once talked about. also there was ranger pure class bonuses. . they'll definitly be more fun to play, i'm sure they are scheduled before AO jobs though, so "soon". j/k good work devs.
Re: Pure Rogue Class Bonus'
I think one of the things that makes them stay away from pure rogue bonuses is the rogue bonus feats that are available from taking pure rogue levels. Almost all of these things are ONLY available to rogues.

Fine, I'll make a halfogre pure rogue
Rangers get HiPS outdoors at level 21+ and some other treats, and I've seen at least a few around doing scary things. In the right circumstances rogues can mess a lot of things up and mix with other classes really well... Plus they don't have an easy scripted hook to add things to.

I think the above reply means they're not on the table!?Lokey wrote:Fine, I'll make a halfogre pure rogue

Oh well, just checking. Thank you for the prompt reply.
Re: Pure Rogue Class Bonus'
Add DC to traps for pure rogue, starting at pure status (21) every 8 levels (so automatic 2, and a soon 3. . .max 5) for detect, disable, DC ';)

Re: Pure Rogue Class Bonus'
Figure out how to reliably hook trap setting Unacquire isn't reliable enough, priority is too low.

Re: Pure Rogue Class Bonus'
How bout they get Keen Senses at 40 pure rogue levels or something (without the blind problem), or they can move at normal or ¾ speed while in stealth
[IO] is the way to go!

How about they are allowed in NC? What more could a rogue want?

Re: Pure Rogue Class Bonus'

WHo said NC needs rogues? It's the rogues who need NC.

If they (rogues) were allowed in NC they would inevitably find purpose, receive some guidance and then start becoming legitimate contributions to society. At which point they would no longer be rogues. Its a catch 22.
